The pogues split up after the events of the Hawks Nest. Pope and Kie going back to there designated places while JJ, Leo and Louis went back to the Brooks.
Both Louis and Leo were somewhat concerned for how the Brooks would react but immediately when they walked into the house both Caswell's were being smothered in kisses and hugs from Mrs. Brooks, JJ standing awkwardly, waving shyly to Henry.
Henry gave a small smile back when Louis walked over to JJ and wrapped an arm around the blondes waist.
"Sorry for getting home late, hope you aren't mad." Louis sighed, looked at his adoptive parents with puppy dog eyes.
"That's quite alright boys. Just glad you are home safe. JJ it's good to see you again." Anne smiles, kissing Leo on the cheek one more time, causing the youngest to groan in disapproval.
"You to Mrs. Brooks. Mr. Brooks good to see you as well." JJ nods before wrapping an arm around Louis.
Henry and Anne give each other a knowing look before looking back at the three boys.
"Why don't you three go to bed. It's quite late, and I can only assume you boys had quite the adventure after Midsummers." Anne says.
The boys nod and Louis bids both adults a goodnight before messing up his brothers hair and kissing his forehead.
When Louis was done, he grabbed JJ's hand and pulled him along, JJ following like a puppy wanting attention.
When Louis entered his room and pulled JJ in he quickly shut the door and let out a sigh of relief.
"Finally. I swear today felt like a year." Louis groans out, falling onto his bed and closing his eyes in contentment.
"Mmhm.., felt extra long until I got to see you." JJ mumbles, collapsing onto the bed as well and using his left arm as support to look down at the French boy.
"Yeah... What the hell JJ. Can't believe you got arrested. Had me worried sick you know." Louis breathes out, looking up at the blonde and sending a small smile.
"Sorry bubs. Had to make sure Pope would still have a chance at his scholarship. He deserves it. He doesn't deserve to rot in a cell or have a felony." JJ admits.
"Neither do you... You out of everyone I know deserve better." Louis whispers, reaching out and messing with the cut on JJ's lip, a small frown forming when JJ tenses.
They stay like that for some time. JJ looking at Louis. Louis looking at JJ. Contentment and peace on both their faces.
It wasn't until JJ moved and headed to his closet did Louis blink. He never wanted his off the blonde boy. He was a peace of art, truly.
"You, Mikey need to change out of that fancy attire and into something more you." JJ teases, throwing Louis some boxers and a light pink t-shirt.
Louis groans when the t shirt hits his face, but JJ laughs and almost falls to the floor from laugher when JJ sees the look Louis gives him.
"If you wanted to see me naked so bad you should of just asked." Louis teases, before taking off his shirt and putting the pink one on, grabbing his boxers and changing in the bathroom.
"If I asked would you comply?" JJ asked, causing Louis to blush and shake his head in the bathroom.
When he exits he sees JJ sitting on his bed with a pleading look and doing grabby hands.
"You act so tough but inside are a giant teddy bear." Louis mumbles before walking over to JJ and standing in between his legs.
JJ immediately puts his hands on Louis waist and looks up at the French boy with a knowing look, causing the boy to roll his eyes but lean down to kiss the blonde.
"I can't believe you are mine." JJ whispers out causing Louis to let out a breathy chuckle.
"I'm not property, Jay."
"I know that, but you own my heart so in a sense you are mine. My heart." JJ whispers teasingly, nipping at Louis neck slightly, causing Louis to sign in contentment.
"Mmhmm.. Stop being so cheesy. That isn't you." Louis laughs before kissing JJ on the cheek and moving himself so he is straddling JJ.
JJ laughs and nods his head in agreement before going back to kissing Louis neck teasingly. Causing small whimpers to escape the French boy.
"I can't even imagine the fear in Henry's brain right now. Me bringing you home and up to my room. He is probably drinking away his fear right now." Louis jokes, but has a small pain hit his heart.
Even though Henry was trying to accept him, it hurt that Henry even had to try. That Henry didn't accept him from the beginning.
"Mmmhmm well good thing the doors are locked and you know how to keep quiet." JJ jokes before pulling Louis into a heated kiss.
The kiss lasts awhile. JJ and Louis just trying to memorize his feekking. To feel this moment forever. New lovers experiencing emotions they haven't felt before.
It wasn't until JJ moved Louis to the bed and was hovering over him did Louis stop. Louis loved JJ yes, but no way was he going all the way when they became a couple hours ago.
He also couldn't even comprehend having an intimate moment when his friend was in the hospital, fighting for his life.
"I'm not having sex with you when my adoptive parents and little brother are in the house. Control yourself you horn dog." Louis mumbles causing JJ to laugh. Have an actual laugh the comes from his gut escape him.
JJ agrees and moves to the side, now laying beside Louis and looking at the ceiling.
"Yeah, I'm not in the mindset to either. Not with John B being hurt... He is like my brother, you know? He has been the closest thing to home in a while. I know he'll make it through though. John B may of fallen but he always gets back up. He always does. Which is honestly annoying sometimes because there are instances when it's best to stay down.... Besides the point though. He'll make it through. Then we will find the gold and get those dreams of ours. I know it." JJ says confidently, however Louis was already fast asleep.
JJ's voice pulling him into a comfort that no other voice has sense Valentin.
When JJ looks down he smiles slightly and pulls Louis so he was closer to him, and closes his own eyes.
Louis felt content with JJ speaking of the future. JJ felt content because Louis was his future.
All was going to be well. JJ knew it.
The nights worth living were just beginning and they began when JJ met Louis.
