⚠ Mentions of Suicide

Louis was about 99.9% sure he would never experience a pain as bad as he did when Valentin died. It was unexpected and something he would always feel guilt for. He was suppose to be Valentin's lover, his person, and yet he couldn't even see the signs of depression that lead to a suicide. That guilt ate at his heart everyday. No matter how many prayers, therapists, or drugs, it would never go away, not fully. Even when Louis was with JJ, stealing kisses in the moon light, a small part of him was steal slowly disintegrating with thoughts of not reading Valentin better. Not being there for Valentin more.

Louis was 99.9% sure he would never experience a pain as bad as he did when Valentin died, but yet there was still that .1 percent chance. It was small, so so very small, but still possible. Louis would like to believe that .1 percent would never happen, but with his luck, with how his life has been treating him recently, he couldn't be foolish enough to believe it wouldn't. It could occur, that .1 percent chance was still a chance, and that terrified Louis, because pain, God Louis he was so sick of pain.

So as Louis, John B, JJ and Leo ride back to the Château after experiencing a very serious, very confusing situation, Louis hugs a little tighter to his brother and watches JJ a little more closely than normal. He wasn't taking any risks, not when the two man that chased and shot him were in search of what was in the cargo hold of that sunken boat. Not when he knew the item found in said cargo hold was only feet away from him.

To say Louis was uncomfortable when they arrived to the Château was an understatement. All Louis wanted to do was hold JJ, as JJ still seemed panicked and on alert about the situation. Yet he felt as if he couldn't do that without possibly outing himself to John B and he wasn't ready. So instead, Louis kept at a distance even when Kie and Pope arrived, however his eyes barely left JJ and if they did it was to make sure Leo was still okay.

JJ begins to explain the whole situation, probably too quickly for his own good as he struggled to get breath, but nevertheless was enthusiastic.

"And we were right outside like this. And all we hear is just, "Bam! Bam! Bam!" Knocking paint off the wall, G! From the inside. All right? And I'm just looking at them, like... Wait, first off, look at this shit. Look at it." JJ says, moving his arms around frantically before going to Pope and Kie, running his hands through his hair, paint falling to the floor.

"That's dandruff, disgusting." Kie says, with Pope replying with "Okay, thank you." Pope was very sarcastic about his comment.

"Look at all that. All right? That's paint. At that point, I was just, like... I'm waiting for death." JJ finishes, out of breath and taking a hit at his joint. Louis frowns slightly at that, not liking how JJ used weed to calm him down. Yes, Louis was being a hypocrite as he once did drugs to calm down aswell. He just didn't like his boy doing that, it upset him.

"Oh, okay, so you saw the guys that shot at us, right?"

"Yeah. Did you get a good description of them? What did they look like? Anything. Anything we can bring to a police report?" Pope asks after the question Kie had.
