King Of Hearts

Two young boys ran across a field, one with black hair and another light brown hair, a tail, and a pair of white horns, they both looked to be around twelve.

The boy with light brown hair was ahead of the other.

"Dream wait up!" The black-haired boy called.

  "You gotta catch me Sapnap!" Dream called back.

  Almost as soon as he said that he stepped on his own tail, causing him to trip and hit the ground with heavy force, "Dammit!"

  Sapnap skidded to halt beside Dream, "Looks like I caught you, " he chuckled.

  The laughing didn't last for long as Dream reacted quickly pulling Sapnap down to the ground with him.

  They both turned to each other and broke out laughing.

  Dream and Sapnap laid on the ground for a while in that kind of silence that was only not awkward when it was you and a very close friend.

  Eventually, Sapnap talked, "Hey Dream?"

  "Yeah?"

  "We're always gonna be best friends, right?"

  "Of course, you couldn't get rid of me if you tried."

Ranboo now had three things to figure out, what Dremons were, why Dream refused to let Techno kill him, and how he was going to get out of there.

Four if you count waking up Ghostbur who had fallen asleep leaning up against Ranboo, without attracting attention to himself.

Although he was far past attracting a little attention.

Dream crossed his arms, with a quick flick of his tail he turned back to Ranboo.

"Speaking of which, we do need to figure out what to do, " Dream said.

Speaking of what?

Ranboo's tail flicked back and forth nervously.

"Lost your voice?" Dream looked to Ranboo considering he hadn't made a noise since Dream arrived.

Ranboo didn't respond.

Despite having an extremely calm voice, one that would make you think he was a friendly person, one that would buy you drinks at a bar just for the sake of being nice, there was something exceedingly intimidating about Dream.

Whether it was the mystery the surrounded him, the knowledge of his past actions, or both.

Most likely both.

"Guess I'll take that as a yes, what's up with Wilbur, why keep him here, does he know about him too?" Dream turned back to Techno.

"Oh yeah, let him go and tell everyone we currently are holding a hostage and that there's a strange man with us, that seems like a smart thing to do, " Techno spoke with extreme sarcasm.

"Point taken, and I wouldn't call it a hostage more of... involuntary guest," Dream joked.

Techno rolled his eyes.

  "I have things to do, "  Techno turned around.

  "What the hell! I'm not down here to watch a fucking child!" Dream yelled.

  Techno didn't turn around, "It's your problem now!" he laughed and shut the door behind him.

Dream had a look of disbelief on his face, "Asshole, " he whispered under his breath.

Ranboo's stomach dropped, thinking that he might as well be killed on the spot, he'd honestly prefer it to having to stay here with Dream.

"Why so silent?" Dream asked.

Ranboo didn't speak.

"Come on I'm bored, you can at least talk, " Dream laughed.

"Okay, " Ranboo said one thing, left it on that.

"The mute speaks!" Dream said sarcastically.

Dream picked up the book Techno had left sitting there.

He examined it for a second before smiling coldly and throwing it to Ranboo.

Ranboo acted quickly catching it, although he almost dropped it.

He looked back up at Dream who had a grin fixated on his face.

"Well, you clearly have no idea what Dremons are by the look on your face when me and Techno were talking about them, " Dream added.

Ranboo opened the book looking through the pages, this at least solved one of his problems.

With Niki gone and Tubbo more panicked than before, the day was not going how Fundy planned.

Not to mention the disappearance of Ranboo.

"Hey it's gonna be all good, we'll find someone else to come with us, " Fundy turned to Tubbo, "Maybe Eret would be willing to come."

The look on Tubbo's face let Fundy know he certainly didn't want Eret there, "Or it could just be us."

Fundy turned around to think for a second, maybe Karl, oh wait there was Quackity, then again-

"Fundy!" A yell from Tubbo pulled him out of thought.

Fundy quickly turned around, Tubbo looked horrified, he stepped back.

Fundy looked where Tubbo was staring.

His heart almost seemed to stop.

Who the hell was that?

"Bet you couldn't make it up here!" Dream called, perched on the branch of a tree.

"Bet!" Sapnap yelled running up to the tree.

He jumped up grabbing the branch for a second before falling flat on his back taking Dream down with him.

"Idiots," George commented.

"Sapnap please don't hurt yourself, " Bad who was Sapnap's adoptive father fretted over his son.

Bad was about thirty, although he was practically a toddler in other demon's eyes considering they could live for hundreds of years.

Based on this he sounded and had the personality of a teenager.

Although he was unnaturally tall.

Dream stood up wiping the dust off his hoodie and fixing his mask back onto his face before anyone but Sapnap caught a glimpse of his face.

Dream held out his hand and helped Sapnap up, he playfully punched him in the shoulder, "Way to go dumbass, " he joked.

"language!" Bad yelled.

Dream laughed, he came up with a childish idea.

He looked at Sapnap with a mischievous smile on his face.

He quickly tapped Sapnap on the shoulder, "Tag!" he pulled his hand away, and before Sapnap had time to reacted darted away.

"Oh, it's on!" Sapnap called running after him.

George rolled his eyes with a smile on his face.

He ran over joining the other two.

Bad watched as the three ran around.

Times like these seemed so far away.
