Techno wasn't kidding when he said Dremons were weird.

  Frightening.

Great, just great, people go insane around Dremons, and here I am sitting in a room with one, Ranboo thought to himself.

He pushed the book off to the side.

He leaned his head back shutting his eyes.

Cracks in the concrete, a metaphor for change.

No matter how strong something was, eventually it would crack.

Sometimes the cracks were good, sometimes they made way for flowers to grow between the cracks, although sometimes it only made way for weeds to accumulate.

Everything seemed to be cracking and crumbling, no way for flowers to grown.

Ranboo pulled his knees to his chest burying his face.

Ghostbur shifted slightly but didn't wake up.

"Wow, try not to be so depressing, "  Dream commented.

"Why did you tell Tubbo Tommy was dead?" Ranboo finally got the courage to talk.

"He asked me to, didn't want Tubbo to know he was alive for some reason, " Dream answered.

  Dream glazed over at Ghostbur.

"We should talk about this downstairs, we wouldn't want Wilbur to know now would we?"

Ranboo stared at him, he really didn't want to be completely alone with Dream.

Even if Ghostbur clearly wouldn't do anything much like when Techno almost killed him it still felt better to have him there.

  Dream walked over to Ranboo.

He held out his hand to help Ranboo up, after a while of silence and Ranboo simply gazing at Dream's outstretched hand Dream spoke, "Trust me."

  Ranboo hesitated.

He pushed his hand away, Ranboo nudged Ghostbur slightly to wake him up.

"I'll be back, " he told him.

"Are we leaving?" Ghostbur said hopefully.

"N- no, not yet, " Ghostbur looked disappointed.

  Ranboo got up.

He followed Dream downstairs, although he paused for a while at the ladder.

"It surprises me that you didn't know what Dremons were, " Dream said.

"I thought you were going to tell me what happened with Tommy, what do Dremons have to do with this?" Ranboo said.

Dream smiled.

He spoke, his voice cold as ice.

As bitter as the words he said.

Ranboo froze, how bitter the truth can be.

  Eret laid on their throne.

Although anymore it felt more and more like just another chair.

  The room was otherwise empty.

The still silence, the cool breeze drifted in through the windows, everything felt so calm, so empty.

The calm never truly satisfied them, the silence just felt lonely.

Their crown was in their hand so it wouldn't fall off.
