Curiosity Killed the Cat

Puffy looked at Ranboo, she noticed the horrified look on his face.

She easily assumed what had him so startled.

"What did he write?" she asked.

"I don't know," he said.

"Can I see it?" she asked.

Ranboo hesitated.

"I promise I won't say anything, " she said.

Ranboo nodded and he showed it to her.

She looked horrified.

"What is it?" he asked become extremely concerned.

She started at it in horror for a while.

"Puffy just tell me!" Ranboo said now panicking.

Puffy shook her head, "be careful Ranboo, this is far from a good sign, " she said.

"What did it say?" he asked again.

"Ranboo it's best if you don't know, " she replied.

"Puffy, please you're scaring me!" he pleaded with her to tell him what she had read.

"And it will scare you more if you know what it says!" she said.

She looked exceedingly worried for Ranboo.

Ranboo panicked.

What did this say that had Puffy in such a panic?

Ranboo opened his mouth to protest but was cut off before he could speak by raspy breaths behind him.

He quickly turned around, to see Eret grasping their shoulder.

"Damn this hurts, " they mumbled.

Puffy ran over to Eret like a mother whose child had just fallen off their bike.

"Are you okay?" she yelled.

"Y- yeah I think so, where am I?" they grumbled.

"Niki's house, what happened?" Puffy asked them.

She seemed to ignore their eyes, she had raised a Dremon and a god, a pair of strange-looking eyes didn't bother her.

Eret looked like they had just seen a ghost.

Their eyes widened when the memory of what had happened hit them.

"Wilbur, " they whispered under their breath.

Puffy and Ranboo looked at each other.

Neither of them had known Wilbur, only the stories.

But Puffy knew enough from the stories, Niki talked about Wilbur all the time, the two were remarkably close.

"We need to wait for Niki, she knows Wilbur was, " Ranboo said.

Puffy nodded.

Eret looked at Ranboo.

They smiled and chuckled slightly before grasping their chest in pain, "We really can't seem to meet each other in a good situation can we?" they joked through choppy breaths.

Ranboo heard the door creak open.

He turned to see Niki walking in with a bundle of bandaging in hand.

She was soaking wet despite Puffy's hat and jacket.

"Eret, you're awake!" she said smiling.
