forty one

Everything was over, and I had picked up my things from the room in Taeyong's place... at least what things were there. Most of my things were scattered through the several buildings I had stayed at in the past month. But the others told me that they would somehow get it back to my house.

Once I walked inside, I felt the smell of home hit me and I was quite shocked to see the living room spotless with no mess to be seen. Just a beaming face of my brother looking proud of himself.

"Wow did you think you have to start cleaning this place up to stay here?" I joked and he scowled.
"But are you happy with me, for cleaning it?"

"I am, extremely. Thank you."

I placed my bags down by the end of the sofa and I hugged him while patting his back.
"Sis, what are you going to do now?"

"Well, that is a very good question."

I hadn't seen Taeyong since that day Lucas died but I could still remember the warm hug he gave me and that look I would never forget. Now it was over I guess I could move on with my life and pretend I never met Taeyong. I would probably be better off.

"What about you, are you and your friends going to make it official?"

"You mean Nct dream?" A wide smirk was settling on his face and I just simply nodded.

"Of course, why wouldn't we and also, Kun said he would train us!"

"That's amazing! Just promise me you will stay safe."

"As safe as I can be sis."

I smiled and laid back on the sofa letting my head rest on the back where the soft pillow was. Yesterday I applied for a job at the pub, serving drinks at the bar. Hopefully, I can move on and get this job.

My eyes awoke to the noise on my phone next to me. Why didn't I put it on silent, it was only 8am. Sighing I tried widening my eyes to see the screen clearly, rubbing them a few times.

"Sis, sis, are you okay, I just heard you scream!"

"I GOT THE JOB."

This job was extremely rare to be able to get as so many people had applied but they had actually chosen me. It was incredible.

"Well done! When do you start?"

"It says 7pm tonight."

"And where is it?"

"It's- wait why do you want to know?"

"You know, just in case something happens."

He made a good point.

"It's in the town centre that huge Bricksan Pub, you wouldn't be able to miss it."

"Ohhh right, I know the place."

"I guess I'm going to have to be trained to serve drinks it is kind of exciting."

"The thing I find funny is how you went from a police officer to a hacker in a mafia gang and now to a simple bartender."

He was right, saying that out loud did sound kind of funny.

"Oh well... at least I'm not in jail!"

"Good point, I mean, Taeyong is still wanted by the police you know... he has still killed many people."

"Mmm... is it bad I still don't want them to catch him."

He shook his head,

"Nah, it's okay, I guess it is his job after all, besides maybe he will stop killing now Lucas died instead of him."
