"So who's wedding is it again?" Mallory asked Ezekiel as they danced to a slow song.

"That couple over there" he pointed. Mallory rolled her eyes and looked at him.

"What?" He smiled. "I meant how you know them or why you're here" Mallory responded.

"He's a friend from my old high school, he's two years older than I" Ezekiel said. "And I'm guessing she was his friend too?" Mallory asked about Emily.

"You guessed correctly" Ezekiel nodded.

"I'm sorry for not speaking to you for almost two months" Mallory said as she looked at him. "It wasn't because of what Dimitri said" she added.

"You really don't need to explain, we're just friends rights" Ezekiel shrugged. He didn't mean for it to sound like he didn't like her but that's how she took it and didn't speak even after they went back to their table.

"I'll be back Mallory said"

"Where are you going?" Ezekiel asked. "Restroom" Mallory said.

"I'll go with you, the mens is right next to it and I have to go to" He smiled and got up to walk with her.

Mallory stepped into the women's bathroom and put her clutch on top of the sink. She looked at herself in the mirror just as Emily stepped out of one of the stalls.

Emily looked at Mallory from the mirror and stepped beside her on the sink next to hers.

"How did you meet him?" Emily asked.

Mallory looked at her from the mirror as she finished rolling on her Chanel perfume that she put on a roll on container.

"School" Mallory answered.

"You attend the same private school? He is going to a private school isn't he?" Emily asked.

"Yeah" Mallory responded. "How did you get in? I mean I know he got in because of a scholarship, he has always been very smart. I can't say the same thing about about the choices he has made in his dating life, they're not so great anymore" Emily smiled.

Mallory smiled back and stepped closer to Emily, "it seems to me like they were never great" Mallory said as she smiled back.

"He's not taking you seriously" Emily said as Mallory began walking towards the restroom exit. "I doubt that's true but if it is then it means he learned something from you" Mallory shrugged with a smile before stepping out.

Ezekiel was outside waiting for her when Mallory pushed herself on him and kissed him taking him by surprise. He kissed her back and Emily stepped out just as they were kissing. She decided to walk by quickly, so quick Ezekiel didn't even see her. Ezekiel was to caught up in the moment kissing the girl he actually liked to even care if someone walked by.

Mallory pulled back and looked at him but all he was doing was smiling.

"Does that mean I've always been right?" He smirked.

"About?" Mallory raised her brow.

"About you having a crush on me" Ezekiel smiled. "We should probably go back to our table" Mallory said and took a step.

"Yeah you're right but I want to kiss you again" Ezekiel said as he pulled her by her arm to kiss her again.

Mallory kissed him back and as the previous times she always enjoyed when he pulled her to kiss her. It's something she never wanted him to stop doing.

"Fuck. I sure as hell have the biggest crush on you" Ezekiel said to her making her blush. Mallory grabbed his hand and let him lead the way back to the table. Just as they were getting back to their table that was near the entrance they both saw Liam and Devin walking in.

"You invited them?" Mallory asked Ezekiel. "I thought you weren't coming" Ezekiel responded.

She saw Liam smiling as they were just less than ten steps away. "I stepped into the venue and was impressed with the lighting but now I see why, those shining eyes are here!" Liam pointed Mallory.

"Do you ever like not speak?" Mallory said to Liam with a serious face. "The day I stop speaking is either because I'm dead or simply have a really bad cold" Liam said. "Whats up" he then said to Ezekiel.

"Hey" Devin said to Ezekiel then to Mallory.

"So are two officially a couple now?" Liam asked them.

"Yes" "No" Ezekiel answered but so did Mallory at the same time. "No?" Liam repeated Mallory's answer.

"Aren't you still dating Dimitri?" Devin asked Mallory because she had seen her hanging out with him again after she stopped speaking to Ezekiel.

Liam chuckled making everyone looking at him, "I'm sorry but every time I hear someone say his name I think of how similar it sounds to the title 'The Matrix' and it's funny" Liam said.

"It doesn't sound similar at all" Mallory frowned. "Doesn't it sound similar?" Liam asked Devin. "Not really" Devin said making Liam look at him for backup.

"A little" Ezekiel said. "See" Liam said.

"Anyway you and Zeke, I fuck with it" Liam added.

"Well it's not like we need your approval" Mallory said. "Did you say 'We' because it sounds like you just confirmed you're a couple" Liam smiled.

"You really had to choose him as your friend?" Mallory said to Ezekiel.

"Look at the bright side Mal, it means you'll have Devin and I as friends too" Liam smiled.

"I don't have a problem with Devin and if that's the bright side please dim it all the way down until it's dark" Mallory said before taking her seat on their table.

Hours later Mallory and Ezekiel sat there because Devin and Liam had asked some girls to dance leaving them two alone.

Ezekiel got up and stuck his hand out for her. "Lets dance" he said.

Mallory grabbed his hand and followed him to the dance floor.

"Why don't you want them to know we're dating?" Ezekiel asked.

"Because you haven't asked me to be your girlfriend" Mallory shrugged. "Is that really it?" Ezekiel asked.

Mallory thought about her father but it's not like she hadn't disobeyed him already. She was there with Zeke and that was more than enough to make her father angry.

"I'm not worried about Liam, however my parents would probably find out because of Devin" Mallory said. "Why would there be a problem with your parents?"

"My father was raised with the idea that we should only date and marry only those of our class. They'd never let me be with you. They don't even know I'm here" Mallory looked at Ezekiel.

"Breaking the rules" he responded. "Because I really like you" Mallory said and widened her eyes in realization of what she had just said.
