"I thought you didn't like cafés like these?" Mallory asked Bellami as they stepped into a cafe that was by the Bean.
"Sometimes I do" Bellami shrugged. "You said they're to dirty for your liking" Mallory frowned. "Well I heard it's good by the way Dimitri said they had good coffee so I decided to try it out, I invited him as well so he could recommend us something" Bellami said she took a seat across Mallory.
A waited walked over to them to take their order but Bellami said they were waiting for someone first.
"I thought it was just going to be us" Mallory frowned. "I know but Dimitri is our friend, besides it's better than not having any plans at all right?" Bellami smiled.
Dimitri stepped in a few minutes later dressed in a black dressing shirt with his sleeves sort of rolled up. He greeted them but Mallory tried to look around the cafe to ignore them in a kind way.
"Have you guys ordered yet?" Dimitri asked.
"No" Bellami shook her head. "What should we order? What would you recommend?" Bellami asked Dimitri. Mallory rolled her eyes as she looked out the window, "Bellami it's a café, order a coffee" Mallory raised her brows.
"The cappuccinos are good if you don't like your beverage that sweet" Dimitri said.
Bellami grabbed her phone out of her pocket, "can you guys actually order I have to take this call, get me a cappuccino" she said as she left to the restroom.
"They sell good iced coffee too" Dimitri said to Mallory who he knew loved iced coffee. "I think I'm just going to have tea with milk" Mallory said and avoided looking at Dimitri.
"Are you okay? You seemed fine yesterday" Dimitri said.
"Bellami said only her and I would hang out, she failed to mention she invited you even if it was last minute" Mallory said. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know she said she invited Scott too" Dimitri responded.
"She didn't tell me" Mallory shrugged. "You know it's fine, I can leave" Dimitri said making Mallory look at him. She felt bad basically kicking him out besides he wasn't doing anything bad like flirting with her.
"No, I'm sorry. It's, she invited you so stay" Mallory smiled. "Are you sure?" Dimitri asked.
"Yeah" Mallory nodded. "Do you want me to call one of the waiters so we can order?" Dimitri asked.
"Yeah" Mallory nodded. The waiter came over when Dimitri called her and took their order. Once she was done she walked away and Mallory looked down at her phone but she still had no call or text from Zeke. She put her phone into her bag and smiled at Dimitri.
"You know you should try their waffles, they're actually really good" Dimitri tried to begin a conversation. "Really? Maybe I'll order them if this muffin doesn't fill me up" she pointed to her chocolate chip muffin that was bigger than the usual size of a muffin.
The door to the cafe opened up hitting the tiny bell that was hanging. A group of friends stepped in and Mallory saw who it was from the corner of her eye. She watched as they walked in order Devin, Zeke, and Liam. Zeke looked at her then at Dimitri. Mallory saw the way he looked a them and especially at her, he had a look of disappointment. She knew what he was thinking, that she set him up to hang out with Dimitri and that's not how things were.
Devin ordered three matcha shakes with boba and they ordered donuts before grabbing their order and leaving.
Mallory felt her hand shake before she quickly got up and followed them. Dimitri knew who she was following and it bothered him but he didn't go after her.
"Zeke" Mallory walked behind him. Ezekiel turned and let both Devin and Liam walk ahead.
"Mallory" Zeke responded with a serious face. "I don't know what your thinking but-"
"But you don't have to explain if that's what you were going to say. See you around" Ezekiel slightly smiled before turning around. She grabbed his arm to stop him.
"Bellami is with us, she invited him and his brother" Mallory said. "It seemed like it was just the two of you" Ezekiel shrugged.
"I texted you that I couldn't go with you not because of this but because Bellami stayed over at my place and I couldn't tell her, she'll tell my father if I'm with you" Mallory said.
"Well it's a good thing your sister is honest" Ezekiel nodded before walking away.
Mallory watched as he walked away with Devin and Liam. They were all in workout attire from the hike they went on.

The following day Mallory stepped into her art class and took her seat. A few seconds before the bell rang Ezekiel stepped in and took his seat beside her.
Mallory was sketching on her notepad as she waited for the professor to give instructions.
The classroom phone began ringing just as the professor walked in and answered the phone. Once she hung up she looked at Mallory.
"Miss Kline they want to see you in the office"
Mallory grabbed her stuff and stuffed them into her backpack before standing up. She hit Ezekiel's arm with her backpack making him look at her but she walked away.
During lunch Ezekiel watched as Mallory stepped into the hall and guessed she was going to the student lounge.
"Have you talked to her?" Devin asked Ezekiel who shook his head no.
"She's not someone who lies she says as she feels and says as it is, maybe Bellami was there we just didn't see her" Liam said before taking a drink from his vitamin water.
"she was there with her ex boyfriend" Ezekiel responded. Liam shrugged, "so? she's in the same school that him, you and us attend so get used to seeing him around, besides she called you her boyfriend but you can't be so demanding if you haven't asked her to be your girlfriend" Liam raised his brow
