Mallory sat besides Ezekiel, they were both doing well on their assignment, the professor allowed them to listen to music on their phones if they wanted.

Mallory didn't want to she loved that everyone else put their earphones on and kept quiet it gave her peace. However the professor had put on music for those who didn't have earphones with them.

"How about I ask you a question and we keep the conversation going on" Ezekiel said to Mallory. "No" she answered.

"I'm sorry for what I said yesterday thinking you wouldn't understand" Ezekiel smiled. "You really need to stop apologizing" Mallory looked at him. "Why do you want to have a conversation with me? Do you really want to be my friend" She asked.

"Yeah" he nodded. "Why?" She frowned. "Why don't you want be my friend?" He smiled.

"I have enough friends already" Mallory said as she shaded one of her sketches. "But they're not like me" he said. "What makes you any different?"

"Everything" he shrugged. "So this is how it goes, I'll ask you something and you'll answer and then I'll answer and-" he said but was interrupted by Mallory.

"I know how a conversation works"

"Okay, what's your full name?" He asked. "Really?" She raised her brow. He nodded. She hesitated in answering but gave in. "It's Mallory Laine Kline" she responded. "Your initials are the same as Martin Luther King" he smiled.

"Well we both believe in equality" Mallory continued sketching. "Do you?" He smirked. "Why Mallory?" He asked.

"Why was I named Mallory or why do I believe Mr King and I both believe in equality?"

"Why were you named Mallory" he nodded. "My father liked the name." She shrugged. "Why Laine?"

"My grandmother's name is Rosaline, my sister's middle name is Rose which means Rosa in english and Mallory line wasn't going to sound so good so my mother decided Laine fit better and that's how I got named Mallory Laine"

"Did your father choose your sister's first name too?" He asked. "Yeah, her name is Bellami Rose Kline" Mallory nodded. "I know"

"How do you know?"

"People speak about you two"

"People speak about us or people ask about us?" She raised her brow. "Do you like your name?" He asked avoiding the question. "I do, do you like yours?"

"I do but I prefer when people call me Zeke rather than Ezekiel" he nodded. "Why did your parents name you Ezekiel?"

"I guess they liked the name too." He smiled. "So your last name is Hirsch?"

"Yes it is" he nodded. "Where are your parents from?" She asked.

"They were born here"

"So where did you get Hirsch from?"

"My paternal grandfather is from Spain" Ezekiel nodded. "My mothers parents we're from Brazil" he added. "Is that how you know spanish?" She raised her brow.

"Because my grandfather is from spain? Yes. Tell me about your background" he smiled.

"My parents were both born here. My paternal grandmother is European, my maternal grandmother is asian and both of my grandfathers were born here." Mallory erased one of her sketches as she spoke.

"Nice" Ezekiel grinned. "How long have you been dating your boyfriend?" He asked.

Mallory looked at him, "what about you, do you have a girlfriend?" She avoided his question. Ezekiel had overheard Dimitri say to Jason that they weren't together anymore the day before when Mallory moved to the seat besides him.

"Why are you avoiding the question?"

"I don't have to answer every single question you ask me" Mallory looked back at her work. "I don't have a girlfriend" Ezekiel said.

"Why?" Mallory asked. "I was dating but we broke up it's been about a year already"

"What was her name?"

"Emily" Zeke smiled. "Do you miss her?"

"No, she slept with someone else when she was still with me and that was the end" zeke nodded. "How long have you been with your boyfriend?" Zeke repeated.

"He's not my boyfriend anymore but it was about three years and a half" Mallory looked at Zeke. "Do you miss him?"

"I see him everyday so there's no need to miss him"

"I mean do you miss him holding your hand and being affectionate towards you?" Zeke smiled. Zeke had said he didn't like her but he just wanted to know her and she had asked the same question so it wasn't like he was asking her for a reason at least that's what he thought. "People break up for their own reasons right" she shrugged.

"What was your reason?"

"That's none of your business" Mallory shook her head. "I told you why I broke up with my ex girlfriend" Zeke grinned. Mallory couldn't help but look at him every time he grinned. She found his smile very attractive the way his eyes slightly shut a little when she smiled. She looked at his skin that looked clean from any acne and was envious. The color of his skin was a beautiful tan. His hair was somewhat wavy and it was a brunette color almost like hers. She turned to her drawing when she felt like she had stared at him for so long.

"I didn't ask you" Mallory said. "Alright, what made you like him in the first place?" He put his pencil down and rolled up the sleeves of his shirt. Mallory wondered how often he worked out because he had a very fit body. That's what she really liked about Dimitri too, how well fitted his uniform shirt fit him or any dressing sweater he wore on top because of his muscles. Dimitri had a home gym and he worked out almost everyday. She remembered of the time he invited her over to work out with him, she thought it would just be sex but he actually made her run in the treadmill and made her lift weights and other workouts that left her more than tired. That was about the last time she ever worked out but despite the fact she didn't work out often or ate all that healthy she had a killer body and it was all thanks to her family genes.

"Why do you want to know?" She frowned. "It's just a question, I'm surprised you haven't left a mark in your face from so much frowning" he chuckled.

Mallory rolled her eyes. "Alright tell me a favorite memory of yours, any one you want" Zeke leaned back and looked at her. He didn't make it obvious however how he was checking her out. He liked the way the dress she was wearing fit her. It sticked to her skinny waist and flowed nicely to her thighs.

He knew her, Bellami and Cynthia were the girls who best dressed in uniform. The other girls tried but didn't look as good as them however not even Bellami or Cynthia looked as good as Mallory. She didn't over do accessories and she knew how to match her clothes with her shoes. Since school had started Mallory had curled her hair every single day because the volume of her hair was so fitting for it.

"Why don't you tell me yours instead?" Mallory looked at him. He looked back at her and smiled. "I'd rather save it for later" He nodded.
