Mallory got to their table and looked at everyone there. She greeted them with a wave and felt the eyes of Monica on her. Mallory ignored her and couldn't stop admiring her sister's gown.
Dimitri stepped into the ball room and made his way to the table. He took his seat next to his date Monica and began speaking with her.
"Does it itch?" Mallory asked Bellami. "Surprisingly no." Bellami smiled.
Both of them sat besides their parents but Mallory was left to sit besides Bellami and Scott. "You look great" Scott whispered to Mallory who only smiled.
They had their food served and began eating and having conversations about their businesses. They spoke about nothing else until they finished their food that's when Roman decided to ask how long Dimitri and Monica had been going out. He didn't know Mallory was no longer going out with him.
Dimitri looked at Monica then at Mallory. "She's just a friend" Dimitri smiled. He knew it's what his mother wanted to hear. His mother just like him had always loved Mallory and him together not just because she thought she was good for him but because of Mallory's family wealth.
"And you attend the same school that they do?" Antoinette asked Monica in a polite way. Monica responded that she did but Mallory felt bad for her. She thought it was wrong for her father to interview Dimitris new girlfriend if that's what she was to him.
"So what are you guys auctioning this year?" Mallory looked at Dimitris parents. "Elizabeth Taylors Emerald and Diamond brooch by Bvlgari" Dimitris mother smiled.
"Really?" Mallory was shocked. She knew that piece was being fought for and couldn't believe they got it. "I think it'd match your dress" Mrs Alderidge looked at Dimitri as she said that. He got that hint that he should bid on it for her but he knew Mallory wouldn't care.
"Maybe you can bid for it" Scott said to her. "Or someone can gift it to her" his mother answered and looked at Dimitri. Scott rolled his eyes before he grabbed his glass of champagne.
After the conversation finally changed Mallory asked Bellami to go with her to the restroom but Bellami refused since she was waiting for Ezekiel to see her however he couldn't find him anywhere.
Before Mallory could get up to head to the restroom they asked her to wait as they wanted to make an announcement. The Alderidges looked at Bellami with a smile and finally Dimitris mother asked her if she could model the brooch. Bellami saw it as her chance to have Ezekiel look at her and accepted.
"Show that bad boy off" Mallory hugged Bellami but they didn't get super close due to their dresses that could tangle. "Come with me Bella" Mrs Alderidge stood up and so did Bellami.
"Come with me please" Bellami grabbed Mallory's hand. Mallory and Bellami followed Mrs Alderidge up to Dimitris penthouse where there was security outside of his door. Once they saw Dimitri's mother they allowed her in along with Bellami and Mallory.
Theg walked over to the crystal box that had the emerald brooch. It did in fact match with Mallory's dress but she thought it matched even more with Bellami's gown.
"May I use the restroom Mrs Alderidge" Mallory asked her. She nodded and Mallory walked down the hall to the nearest restroom where she did her business then washed her hands and blotted her face where she felt she looked shiny.
Meanwhile in the living room Mrs Alderidge was helping Bellami put the brooch on her hair when Dimitri and Scott stepped in. Dimitri walked down the hall to his lounge where he left his phone and stepped right out just as Mallory opened the door to the restroom. He walked by but stopped and turned to look at her.
