"Yeah I'll ask him if he'll be giving extra credit" Mallory said to her classmate Alina before saying goodbye to walk over to her next class.
She felt her arm being grabbed and pulled to the side. "Are you trying to avoid me?" Ezekiel looked her in the eyes.
"No" she shook her head. "Is it because of what Dimitri said yesterday?"
Mallory didn't have a problem with him not being wealthy like she was, she never cared about class but all she could think of was her father asking her not to say anything and to stay away from him. She trusted her father and knew he had reasons to believe that. However she also knew that if Ezekiel's father was stealing from her father Ezekiel was not to blame for. Then the other side of her brain made her think the what if's. What if he knew who she was and was only talking to her to use her to manipulate her father.
"I have to get to class" Mallory said. "It's fine if you don't want to speak to me, I get that we're not of the same class" Ezekiel said and began walking away. Mallory wanted to explain that it was not the reason at all but let him go instead.
They were both going into the same classroom. She stepped in right behind him and took a seat next to Dimitri instead of her seat besides Ezekiel. Dimitri turned to look at her then back at board as he smirked knowing he had made Mallory stay away from Ezekiel or at least that's what he thought.
When class was over Mallory grabbed her stuff and got up to leave the classroom but Dimitri picked up his pace to catch up to her. "Hey, were getting together at my place if you want to come I can give you a ride" Dimitri smiled.
Mallory watched as Ezekiel walked by. She thought about what her father had said before looking back at Dimitri, "sure" she nodded.

A month had gone by and Mallory had spent her time with her sister, Dimitri, and Scott. She'd wished that Jason and Cynthia could return already but she wouldn't see them until the summer. She really didn't enjoy spending time with them but it took Ezekiel of her mind. However everything her father had said still crossed her mind.Mallory sat in the student lounge working on her homework. She opened up her photo library and looked through her pictures. She looked at the pictures she still had of herself and Dimitri.
She couldn't believe how happy she looked with him and how happy he looked himself. She moved on to a different picture that was a selfie of her and Dimitri where she was kissing him in the cheek and he was smiling at the camera. It was their trip to Paris and they stopped by the Louvre Pyramid so the picture there was necessary.
She began selecting the pictures she had of herself with Dimitri and put them in the trash before completely deleting them for good as the only relationship she wanted to have with him now was that of being only friends.
She then began to look at the pictures she had with her family. Pictures of her younger self including one picture where even her grandparents joined them.
Devin, Liam, and Zeke stepped into the lounge to work on their homework as well when Liam hit Zeke on the chest so he'd see that Mallory was there. Zeke shrugged and took a seat before Mallory could look up from her computer.
"Go talk to her" Liam said to Ezekiel who looked over at Mallory.
Devin turned to look at her as well and even though she was to busy looking at her pictures she could feel their eyes on her making her look up at them.
She turned to see behind her but there was nobody or anything but a blank wall. "Can I help you?" She said with attitude.
Liam smiled, "if you're good with statistics you probably can help us with this problem" Liam pointed to his notebook as he joked.
Mallory rolled her and shut her laptop before stuffing it into her backpack. She grabbed her notebooks and got up. Ezekiel watched as she walked past their table.
She walked towards the door and stepped out to an empty hall.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow" Ezekiel grabbed his backpack and left the student lounge. He ran behind Mallory and stopped her before she could reach the exit door.
"What are you doing?" She frowned. "Trying to figure out exactly why you're actually avoiding me" Ezekiel smiled.
"Because we're not of the same social class now move!" Mallory said mimicking what he had said to her a month ago.
Ezekiel pushed the door open and Mallory stepped out but Ezekiel continued to walk beside her.
"You know not being of the same social class didn't stop you from talking to me or even kissing me before" Ezekiel smirked.
"It's called charity" Mallory shrugged. "So how has the past month been? I ask because I know you've been hanging out with your usual friends and know they're not as fun as hanging out with me" Ezekiel smiled.
"Who said hanging out with you was any fun?" Mallory asked.
"You know it was, you miss hanging out with me. Admit it" Ezekiel smiled. "What exactly do you want to get from this?" Mallory frowned.
"From what? Oh this? This like you mean us? Well to begin with for us to be cool again and then you know what happens. We're going to get married in a few years that's what I want from 'this' " Zeke smiled.
"You and I were never cool" Mallory responded. "I'm basically proposing already and all you heard was that I wanted to be cool with you?" Ezekiel laughed.
"Thanks for proposing but you and I will never happen, sorry to rip apart that cloud of yours that holds your dreams" Mallory smiled back.
"You miss me, tell you what. I'll text you an address to this wedding for tomorrow-"
Mallory interrupted Zeke, "why would I show up?"
"Don't worry it's not our wedding, that one is in a few years from now as I said. It's a friends wedding and I'm sure you'll show up because you want to have fun and you aren't having any fun with your so called friends. Anyways I'll text you the address and wear something of the color peach, to match my tie of course" Ezekiel smiled before walking away from her before she could respond anything.
He didn't know if she would show up but he was hoping she would.
