"Everything okay?" Dimitri said as he stepped back into the living room once he was done cooking the patties. Mallory was on her phone speaking to her mother and raised her finger at Dimitri asking him to wait a second.

Once she was done speaking to her mother she ended the call and looked at Dimitri. "Sorry my mom wanted to know what designers we wanted for our dresses" Mallory said. "Are you taking anyone?" Dimitri asked her. It would be the first ball they'd be attending as friends after their break up.

"No but my father does want us to make an entrance as a family" Mallory shrugged. "Are you going with someone?" Mallory asked him.

"No" Dimitri shook his head. "I actually wanted to-"

"And I'm back" Scott said as he stepped into Dimitri's place with a cake. "Lets eat" Scott said as he walked towards Dimitri's dining table.

"My father has been thinking of buying an apartment here" Mallory said to Dimitri and Scott. "Really, why?" Dimitri asked.

"He thinks it's a good environment for meetings" Mallory shrugged. "You guys already own better properties. Which by the way I'm interested in buying your Montecito home in California" Scott said to Mallory.

"That's Bellami's propety not mine, you'd have to speak about it with her I don't think she wants to sell it" Mallory said to Scott. "How much did she purchase it for?" Dimitri asked. Both of them had been to Bellamis Montecito home and liked how nice she had renovated it.

"I believe it was forty million but she put in more money to it so it must be worth more now" Mallory said. "You're parents really do know in what to invest" Scott said to her.

"Why do you want that house? Aren't you going to oxford?" Mallory asked. "Yeah I'm pretty sure I'll be accepted but I want to start investing my money in something that I know will sell for more in the future and where better to start than in California" Scott said as he leaned back.

"Illinois isn't good enough for him" Dimitri said as he put his frie down on his plate. "There's not much for me here the only thing that's worth staying here for is still uncertain" Scott finished his sentence quietly. "Just ask her out already" Dimitri rolled his eyes.

"Who?" Both Scott and Mallory said at the same time. "You know who, Bellami" Dimitri said to Scott.  "Why don't you ask her out?" Mallory asked Scott.

"I don't have a thing for her she's my best friend. It's almost as if you and I went out" Scott said to Mallory. "We get it, it would never happen" Dimitri said before grabbing his cup of mineral water.

"Mal don't you have a cousin you can introduce me to?" Scott smiled. "Not that I know of, I have a lost uncle but I don't know if he has children" Mallory shrugged.

Mallory stood besides the huge window that had a great view of the city and it's skyscrapers. "Do you want to watch a movie?" Dimitri said as he handed her a slice of cake. "No I actually should get going I have to finish up my homework" Mallory said.

"What's going to happen between us?" Dimitri asked. Mallory looked at him and felt bad she really didn't think he'd still be stuck on her by now but she was wrong. She also remembered she forgot the flowers he gifted her in her locker.

"Nothing. I know I said maybe things would work out with time but I don't see myself with you as a couple ever again. I think we're great friends and I want to continue being that" Mallory said.

"Why did you kiss me back?" Dimitri asked her. "I was caught up in the moment." She stayed quiet and so did he for a few minutes before she could say something again. "Thank you for dinner" Mallory said and leaned in to peck his cheek but he stepped back.

Mallory set the plate of cake on a glass table that was nearby before she walked away. When she got near the door she heard the sound of a plate hitting the floor. It was Dimitri who pushed it off the table because he was angry.

She didn't turn she made her way out and headed home.

Ezekiel grabbed his eraser to clean up some of his shading. Mallory turned to look at him and noticed how concentrated he was and for the first time he didn't bother making a conversation with her.

"Your quiet today?" She asked him. He turned to look at her. "You feel like talking today?" He smiled. "you look nice with your hair straightened by the way" he added. Mallory usually preferred having her hair curled but she decided today her outfit would look better with her hair straight.

"Thanks. Can I ask what your ex girlfriend was like?" Mallory looked at him. Ezekiel chuckled. "Why do you want to know about her?"

"Well you've seen my ex boyfriend and I have no idea what Emily was her name? Well what she looked like. Describe her to me" Mallory said.

"I can just show you a picture instead" Ezekiel smiled. "You still have pictures of her?" Mallory raised her brow.

"No but there's a thing called social medias" Ezekiel nodded. "I want you to describe her instead. Tell me what she looked like to you then you can show me a picture" Mallory said.

"Alright. She was about five feet and two inches tall. She had dark brown eyes, medium length hair. She dyed it ombre. White skin, she was thin and she had this birth mark by her collar bone." Ezekiel finished describing her.

"Ombre hair? She sounds lovely. Show me a picture now" Mallory smiled. Ezekiel took his phone out and searched her up. When he remembered he had searched Mallory up in Facebook he moved his phone aside so Mallory wouldn't see his recent searches. Mallory however was looking down at her drawing she never liked looking at someone when they were on their phone and the screen was visible to her.

"This is her, you can look through her pictures" Ezekiel handed Mallory his phone. Mallory looked at her and thought she was very pretty but it was only obvious Ezekiel would go out with someone like her he was just as attractive as his ex girlfriend was. Mallory came across a recent picture and looked at Ezekiel. "She's engaged?" Mallory asked him.

"Yeah I think so" Ezekiel nodded. "Isn't she a little young to get married?" Mallory raised her brow.

"She's eighteen, legal enough to get married"

"I'm sorry" Mallory said to him. Ezekiel laughed and smiled. "I'm fine I promise. I got over her" he smiled.

"Do you want to get married?" She asked him. "Why do you want to marry me?" He smirked. She rolled her eyes.

"I'm joking. Yeah I'd like to not right now but in a few years. Well more if I find the right person" he said.

"Good luck with that" Mallory answered. "Do you want to marry?" He asked her.

"Yeah" she nodded. "Did you ever think you would marry Dimitri?"

"Maybe a few times" she nodded. "Why don't you date him again?" Ezekiel asked.

"I'll date him when you date Emily again" Mallory smiled. "Deal" Ezekiel put his hand out for her to shake. She looked at his hand before turning back to her drawing.
