"Are you going?" Liam asked Devin.

"My parents are forcing me to go" Devin said. "So we'll go, right?" Liam looked at Ezekiel who nodded. They were speaking about the ball that was only a week away. "You guys don't have to" Devin said to them.

"We'll go, it'll be good right? I've never been to a ball before" Ezekiel said to them. "It's a sophisticated party but theirs alcohol so it'll be good" Liam shrugged.

"Here comes your girl" Liam nudged Ezekiel with his elbow. "She's not my girl" Ezekiel smiled.

Malloy walked towards them but she was to busy looking down at her phone that she didn't see them. "Make space for the royal highness" Liam said once Mallory was near them. Mallory pretended to hold her crown and stuck her middle finger out at Liam who smiled.

"Devin, Zeke" Mallory said to them as she walked by.

"Hey" Devin and Ezekiel replied. "No Liam?" Liam said but she ignored him. "Make a move before she changes her mind and gets back with Dimitri" Liam said to Ezekiel.

"She doesn't seem a bit interested in me" Ezekiel smiled. "Maybe because you're not saying anything interesting to her, ask her out" Liam shrugged.

"Make sure Dimitri doesn't find out" Devin added. "Who gives a fuck if Dimitri finds out, you have us two we'll back you up" Liam said to Ezekiel. Devin didn't say anything he just looked at Liam. Devin knew more about the Klines and the Alderidges than Liam did. He knew how obsessed Dimitri was with Mallory and didn't think she was worth the problems that would come along if Ezekiel did date her. He wasn't afraid if Dimitri fought physically but he knew with a few phone calls that Dimitri could ruin Ezekiels future like being rejected into schools or even having a good career.

"Are you guys grabbing lunch?" Mallory stood besides Bellami who was already eating her fruit salad. Dimitri looked at her then looked back down at his lunch.

"I am" Scott was the only one who still didn't have lunch and stood up. Mallory walked besides Scott towards the cafe.

"What did you say to him that made him so angry last night?" Scott asked Mallory. "The truth. That I don't want to be with him anymore" Mallory shrugged.

"That sounds like a great idea" Scott smirked as he grabbed a gatorade from the cafe fridge. "We can celebrate to your closure at my apartment tonight" Scott whispered to her.

"Sounds lovely but I only wear my clothes once then toss it out just as I'm about to do with you" Mallory smiled and left the cafe with her food.

Mallory got back to the table before Scott did and sat besides Cynthia. "What are you wearing to the ball?" Mallory asked Cynthia.

"I chose two Ellie Saab gowns but haven't chose which one exactly I'm going to wear" Cynthia said to her. She took her phone out to show her the dresses. Mallory looked at them. "Cute, I love the burgundy one. Are you taking anyone?" Mallory smiled.

"Jason is being my date" Cynthia smiled at Jason. "Are you guys going together?" Jason looked at Mallory then at Dimitri.

"No I asked Monica to be my date" Dimitri said looking at Mallory in hopes that she'd get jealous but Mallory was the least to care.

"Are you taking someone?" Jason looked at Mallory. "My company is enough to fulfill me" Mallory smiled. "Okay enough about them, are your parents going to be here for the ball?" Bellami asked Jason.

"They haven't said anything" Jason shook his head. "You have us" Mallory said to Jason.

"Until they get bored of you" Dimitri said. "Dimitri shut the fuck up. I can assure you nobody here is interested in hearing how petty you're being" Scott said to Dimitri.

"You're here again" Ezekiel said to Mallory who was in the student lounge finishing up her homework.

"So are you" Mallory responded. Ezekiel smiled and was going to take a seat in a table across the room but Mallory spoke up before he did.

"sit with me" she said. Nobody else was in the student lounge but them. "Are you sure?" Ezekiel raised his brow.

"I'm not going to say it twice" Mallory looked down at her homework. Ezekiel walked over to her table and sat across her. "You have a test to study for?" Mallory asked him.

"No I wanted to get my homework done and you?" He asked as he took out his ipad. "Homework and my sister asked me to stay here until she was done choosing a dress" Mallory shrugged.

"Why?" Ezekiel frowned. "She wants to surprise me" Mallory said. "And a dress for what?"

"the ball"

Ezekiel nodded and wanted to ask if she was going. He thought about what Liam said and thought about asking her to the ball. He knew he'd be embarrassed if she rejected him so he decided not to ask. "Are you attending?" Mallory asked him.

"yeah I'm going with Liam and Devin" Ezekiel nodded. "Have you ever been to a ball before?"

"No" Ezekiel shook his head. "It's a good thing this will be your first ball. Change of topic, do you think our drawings for art will look better if we color them or simply shade them with pencil?"

"It's up to you" Ezekiel smiled. Mallory couldn't help but smile back at him. His smile was contagious and she liked how his eye slightly shut when he smiled.

"Bellami is all done choosing her dress, its your turn" Antoinette said to Mallory as she walked towards her studio.

Once Mallory was in the studio with her mother and her mother's staff they began hanging up the gowns so Mallory could choose. Mallory looked closely at all of them but had already fallen in love with one of them.

"Are they all embellished in Swarovski?" Mallory looked at her mother and her staff.

"They are, we can add or remove any if you'd like" her mothers assistant said. "Can I try these two on" Mallory pointed to the a green embellished Elie Saab dress and a Zuhair Murad mint dress, both were couture.

They got the dresses down and she tried on the Zuhair Murad dress first. She stepped back and walked towards the mirror to see how the slit of the dress fit with her walk. "It fits you" Her mother Antoinette smiled.

"It's pretty, I really like the embroidered flowers. Although I don't really like the belt" Mallory looked at herself in the mirror. The dress was so beautifully detailed but she thought the silver belt didn't go with it.

"The belt isn't necessary it's just an accessory" her mother's assistant said. "I know but I can't think of a belt that would fit it, if we remove the belt it looses its touch" Mallory said.

Mallory had help to remove the dress and stepped into the Elie Saab dress that she had fell in love with. She always wore gowns that made her bust look nice but this dress made her feel like a princess and she loved it. Besides it was a color she had never worn in a gown before.

"It's heavy, but I love it" Mallory smiled as she slightly turned to see how the back of the dress looked since it left her back bare. "Do you guys love it?" Mallory asked her mother and the people who were helping her change.

"You look beautiful" Her mother said. "I really love it. This is the one" Mallory smiled still looking at herself in the mirror. She picked her hair up and thought it would look good with a hair up do.

"Is there anything you'd like us to fix?"

"No it's perfect" Mallory smiled. "What heels would you like to wear with it?"

"I think some Manolo Blahnik heels will do because the dress is so long my heels won't be visible" Mallory shrugged. She was excited to wear the dress the day of the ball.

"What designer is Bellami wearing?" Mallory asked her mother as she was being helped with the removal of the dress.

"Ralph and Russo"
