Mallory sat besides Jason for lunch and ignored Dimitri. Scott looked at Mallory then at Dimitri who hadn't said a word.
"So Mal what are you doing for your birthday this year?" Cynthia asked. "I don't really want to do anything." She shook her head.
"Don't you want to have us over?" Jason smiled. "Yeah dont you? Scott said. "I do, but my parents already arranged a small dinner just between us" She shrugged.
"So only your boyfriend is invited?" Cynthia pointed to Dimitri since he was always invited to any family dinner. "We're not together. But we're still friends" Dimitri said making Mallory turned to look at him.
"Oh, I didn't know" Cynthia said feeling bad that she brought it up. "We can arrange a little get together in our house after our family dinner so you guys can still come" Bellami said making Mallory turn to look at her.
Jason nudged Dimitri with his elbow making him react. "Actually why don't we arrange at my place" Dimitri smiled.
"You guys don't have to. I don't want a party" Mallory said to Dimitri. "It'll just be a get together between us" Dimitri said.
"Mal, Cynthia can you guys accompany to the restroom" Bellami stood up and so did Mallory and Cynthia.
Once they were gone Scott turned to look at Dimitri. "Really? That's your fucken plan to get her back?" Scott frowned. "It was my idea" Jason said.
"Well I hope it works out for you because she didn't seem very pleased about it" Scott said to Dimitri who rolled his eyes at him.
Bellami stepped into the restroom with Cynthia and Mallory. Mallory pushed the doors of the stalls to make sure nobody was there. She finished checking that nobody was but only one girl who was washing her hands. Bellami looked at Cynthia and Mallory then looked at the girl who was taking her time washing her hands.
"Pick up the pace you literally only need to wash them for a minute" Mallory said to the girl. The girl grabbed towels to dry her hands and quickly left the restroom. "Why didn't you tell me you two broke up?" Cynthia asked Mallory.
"It's only been like two days" Mallory answered. "Did he cheat on you?" She asked.
"No" Mallory frowned. "I think it's really nice of his part" Bellami said to Mallory who bit her lip and said, "I know" she nodded. "Do you still love him?" Cynthia asked.
"I do I just wanted some space, I still want my space" Mallory said.

Mallory walked past the table where Dimitri and Jason were seated and sat behind them, next to Ezekiel. "Mal come sit here" Jason turned to look at Mallory who was writing what was on the board on her notebook.
Mallory looked at Dimitri who didn't turn to ask her himself. "I'm fine here" Mallory smiled. Dimitri turned to look at her, "come sit with us" he said to her with a smile and looked at Ezekiel with a serious face.
"I'm fine" Mallory said and continued her work.
"I don't think your boyfriend likes me" Ezekiel whispered to Mallory who kept doing her work. "Well it's something him and I have in common" Mallory whispered back. Ezekiel smiled and continued to do his own work.
~
Mallory let Bellami go home without her since she was staying to do work. Mallory walked towards the student lounge and to her luck it was empty. Nobody liked staying after school to do work but Mallory did, she enjoyed being the top student of her class.
She sat down and took out her ipad. "Well if it isn't my Mal"
She looked up and saw Liam and Devin stepping into the student lounge. She rolled her eyes at Liam who smirked. Liam did enjoy bothering her but it wasn't something new it had been going on since she started high school and it was always playful never harmful.
Devin didn't say anything to her, he had always been more of a calm person and not like Liam. They took a seat in one of the tables in the lounge and took out their notebooks to study. They were having a statistics test and wanted to get perfect scores. Mallory didn't take them for students who actually studied for a test or students who even cared about school but they were especially Devin who wanted to major in neuroscience.
She continued looking over her notes when she saw someone else step in and looked from the corner of her eye as Ezekiel sat with Liam and Devin.
Mallory turned and saw that her ipad was running out of battery so she grabbed her back to take her charger out only to realize she had forgot to put it in her backpack. Mallory turned and saw that they had an ipad on their table but didn't know who's it was. She hesitated in asking them for a charger but she really wanted to get her homework done.
She stood up and walked towards their table. "Hi, I wanted to ask if-" she was cut off at mid-sentence by Liam.
"You can't sit with us" He said with a very serious face. "I wanted to ask if you guys have an ipad charger I can borrow" she frowned. Liam continued looking at her very seriously.
"No I'm joking, it's Ezekiels I don't know if he was one. Do you have it with you?" Liam smiled at her and turned to ask Ezekiel.
"Yeah" Ezekiel reached for his backpack and took out his charger and handed it to Mallory who grabbed it. "Thank you" she said to him.
"You're welcome, why don't you sit with us?" Liam smiled. "And ruin my reputation by being associated with you, I'll pass" Mallory said to him before thanking Ezekiel and walking back to her table to charger her ipad.
"Has she always been like that?" Ezekiel asked them. Devin looked up from his notes at Mallory then looked at Ezekiel. "She was a little nicer before she started dating her boyfriend, he's very influential on her " Devin said.
"What kind of business does your father have with Dimitris parents?" Liam asked Devin. "Something about getting permission to build in New York" Devin shrugged. They were whispering because Mallory wasn't sitting far from them and would be able to hear them if they spoke loud enough.
"What does your dad do?" Ezekiel asked Devin. "He's a lawyer" Devin said. "One of the best lawyers money can buy you" Liam grinned as he shaked his pen. "His best clients are the Klines" Liam looked over at Mallory making Ezekiel and Devin turn to look at her.
"What do you mean best clients?" Ezekiel asked. "They pay my father even when they don't need him but they pay him so he can be available to them twenty for seven if they ever need him for any emergency." Devin shrugged.
