"I'll be back" Mallory got off his car and closed the door. She took two steps before thinking about inviting him into her apartment instead of making him wait in the parking lot.

She walked towards his side and knocked on his window. He rolled it down. "Do you want to come in?" She asked him. He looked around and nodded. They walked towards the elevator and went up to her floor. They stepped into her apartment that wasn't being rented yet and she wanted to keep it that way. It was her getaway.

"You can turn the tv on, I'm going to get changed" Mallory said and left to her bedroom. She walked into her closet and chose a dress before deciding to shower instead of just changing. She showered and changed and grabbed her hair in sleek bun before applying some makeup. Once she was done she walked out of her room and to the living room where Ezekiel had fallen asleep.

She walked towards him and tapped his shoulder to wake him up. When he felt her touch he quickly opened his eyes. "You take forever to change" he said.

"I actually showered, you know lakes can be dirty" Mallory raised her brows. "Right. So do I take you home now?" He stood up and grabbed his car keys.

"I thought you said you were taking me out for dinner?" She asked. "Oh know you want go. Well you're dressed for the occasion and I'm not" He pointed to his clothes.

"It's destiny that keeps screaming that a date between us just isn't meant to happen. And I thank it" Mallory smiled. "Destiny has no idea who it's messing with. Should we order food or should we cook?" Ezekiel smirked.

"I don't have food here" Mallory shook her head. "We can go to the grocery store" He shrugged.

"How about we order hamburgers" Mallory grabbed her phone. "If that's what you want" he nodded. Mallory ordered through her phone.

While they waited for the food to arrive they went to the kitchen where Mallory handed Ezekiel a beer. "You don't drink?" He asked her when he saw her grab a mineral water.

"No" Mallory shook her head. "So why do you have beer in your fridge?"

"For my guest who do drink" she said as she sat across him. "I like how you dress, like you have an important meeting to attend at any unexpected moment" he smirked.

"You're really bad at flirting" Mallory looked at him. "Cheers" Ezekiel raised his beer.

"So why don't you ask Hailey out instead?" Mallory asked. Ezekiel smirked as he remembered seeing Mallory at the ball looking at him dance with Hailey. "Why would I ask her out?" He asked.

"You're friends with her aren't you?"

"Yeah we're friends, just friends" He smiled. "So if we're friends why do you want to date me?" Mallory asked.

He chuckled and shook his head, "we're not friends remember. You said you would never be my friend but you never said you wouldn't be my girlfriend" Ezekiel smiled. Mallory looked at him with a serious face but inside she was bursting with joy.

"Why don't you hang out with other people?" Mallory tried to change the conversation. "I like the people I hang out with, why don't you a find a different group of friends?" He asked.

"They're the people I've hung out with all my life" Mallory shrugged. "Your ex boyfriend's brother has a thing for you, doesn't he?"

Mallory thought about Scott and what had happened between them. She thought that maybe Scott had said something but then again it was impossible without Dimitri finding out. "Scott? No" She raised her brow.

"Maybe you don't see it" Ezekiel said. "Scott likes anyone but me. He's almost like Liam" She shrugged.

"Right. So what are we doing tomorrow?" He asked. "This is the last time we're ever hanging out or speaking to each other" Mallory frowned.

"Why do you want to avoid me?"

"I barely know anything about you" Mallory said. "Because you don't ask" he shrugged.

"Do you have any siblings?"

"No. I'm an only child. Come on you can ask better questions" he smiled.

"Do you like the people I hang out with?" Mallory asked. "I don't know them but they seem cool all except for Dimitri"

"Are you saying that because he's my ex boyfriend?" Mallory slightly frowned. "No, just as an individual he seems like a narcissist. Can I ask you something personal ?" Ezekiel put his beer down. Mallory nodded.

"Why did you break up with him? And I mean the real reason not the reason that you tell everyone or the reason you try to convince yourself with"

"That's beyond personal don't you think? Its as if I asked you what you would say to Emily if she ever came back to you" Mallory said.

"you're avoiding the question but fine, what would you say to Dimitri if he asked you out again?"

"I wouldn't date him again" Mallory shook her head. "And why is that?"

Mallory shrugged, "I guess he was sort of a narcissistic asshole sometimes. I think I can be like him too"

"You're nothing like he is. I mean you can come off as conceited at times but I think it's because you're so sure of who you are. Although sometimes you try to act like them too which is not who you are"

"So why is it that you like me?" Mallory asked. "You're beauty is one of the reasons and the other is because I haven't met anyone as stubborn and posh as you are, I'm joking. I don't know but it's something about seeing you and feeling happy" he smiled.

Mallory smiled.

"Why do you like me? And don't say you don't. I see the way you look at me when you think I don't notice" Ezekiel smirked.

Mallory blushed and was going to answer but the door bell rang. "It's probably the food" she said and got up to get the door. She thought about what she was going to say as she was walking back to the kitchen and decided she wouldn't say anything. She didn't want to give in.

"This is yours and you should go" Mallory said in a demanding tone and handed him the food. "Why? What's wrong" he frowned. "I need you to leave" Mallory said with a serious face.

"Do I take you home?" He asked. "I'm in one of my homes" Mallory said. "How are you going back to your main home?"

"I have a chauffeur now leave" Mallory said. "There's the real Mallory, is it because you don't want to answer what I asked?" Ezekiel smiled.

"No it's because you and I aren't going to happen" Mallory said. "But you want it to" he smirked.

"I said get out" Mallory pushed him to the door. "Loved our date, see you at school" He smiled before leaving.
