You rolled over in your's and Bucky's bed, reaching fir Bucky only to find that Bucky was not there. He must have had another nightmare. You slowly got out of bed, and wrapped the sheet around your bare body, and walked to find your Bucky. Your feet were cold on the hard wood of the floor when you walked out of your room. But was soon grateful to hit carpet along the stairs.
After hitting the bottom stair, you found Bucky at the kitchen table, with a coffee in his hands. Sleepily, you sat next to him and gently laid your head on his shoulder. He kissed your forehead and said "Little one, you can go back to bed." You shook your head and said quietly "Not without you." You paused before you sat up and grabbed ahold of his hands. "Was it another nightmare?" He sighed and nodded. "They keep coming. They don't leave me alone. I can't wake up hurting you if I have a nightmare." You thought for a moment, and softly grabbed his cheeks and turned his face towards yours.
Your lips touched, and Bucky melted into your touch. He was safe and he knew that. "Come to bed. Please." You quietly begged him. He nodded, and you grasped his hand. You pulled him up, and you both walked up the stairs leading to your room. When you arrived at the bed, you gently pushed him onto the bed and you straddled his hips. He rested his hands on your back as you leaned forward to lay down on his chest.
His fingers danced lightly across your skin as he tickled your back. "I love you little one." He said in your ear. You closed your eyes and said "I love you too Bucky Bear." He kissed your head, and you both fell asleep.
