"Come on, sweetheart. Please drink. It will help with your throat." Bucky said, holding a cold glass of apple juice in front of your mouth. Your eyes watered at the thought of anything touching your throat when it burns this bad. You currently couldn't talk, so your solutions were one, either write in a note book or two, talk to Wanda through your mind and her translate. Going with the easier option, you scribbled out 'throats burning i don't want things to touch it.' Bucky sighed, and put the cup of needed liquid on the side table.
Try after try, Bucky would make you soup, have you drink water, the one time he succeeded was when he brought you ice cream. You were definitely happy when he brought you ice cream. Joining you in the bed, ice cream in hand, he gently placed a hand over your forehead to check your temperature.
"Dove, you still have a fever. We have to get you out from under these blank-" You stopped his hand from moving the soft duvet away from your shivering body. Shaking your head you whisper "Cold." Bucky gave you a sympathetic smile and gently kissed your forehead. His lips feeling the clammy, and hot skin of your face. "Love, youre burning up. If you let me take one blanket off, I will give you three bites of my ice cream plus extra cuddles. How's that sound?"
Your ears perked up at the sound of cuddles, and you immediately threw one of 3 blankets off of yourself. "Thank you, little one. Now lets get you some ice cream and cuddles."
