A swarm of thoughts buzzed in Jisoo's head as she turned down a new corridor. At the end of the hallway she saw a sign pointing the way to designated room. YG's orders flew back into her head and she grew lightheaded and stopped to lean against the wall. It's the only way, Jisoo repeated to herself. I can do this.

YG had once again forced a wrinkle into her plans and Jisoo was beginning to feel the weight of her decisions and compromises. Jisoo shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. If she failed here, the consequences would be far reaching and far worse than what was about to happen here.

Recovered slightly, Jisoo continued forward. In the hallway leading up to the room there were guards posted every few dozen feet. All were carrying weapons and wore body armor and helmets. She passed a pair of guards standing in front of a closed door and she nodded at them. As she nodded, she took the split second to inspect the door. There was a keypad installed in the wall next to the door and also a hand and eye scanner on the door itself.  This entire level is way more secure than the dungeons in the basement, Jisoo confirmed grimly as she continued forward. I don't know if that's because Jennie almost made it out or if it's always like this but escaping from here unaided would be impossible.

Eventually she reached the end of the hallway and as she approached, one of the guards in front of the door went through the security routine to open it for her. She entered without breaking her stride. The room was sectioned off into two by a pane of bulletproof glass. The space beyond the glass was pitch black but the rest was well lit. There was a control pane in front of the glass and a steel table beside that. There were various tools strewn about on the table. There was only one person visible in the room and the guards outside the door remained there.

Ophelia looked up from her seated position in the corner as Jisoo entered. She uncrossed her legs and stood up. A key ring on her belt jingled softly as she did so, drawing Jisoo's attention momentarily.

"I was told you'd be taking over but I wasn't expecting you to arrive so soon. You must be eager." Ophelia put extra emphasis on the word 'eager' and smirked at Jisoo.

Eager isn't quite the word I'd use.

"Let's just get this over with." Jisoo spoke in a clipped tone to avoid her voice from wavering. Her heart was pounding. She walked to the side where there was a simple steel door leading into the darkened room. "Turn on the lights and open this."

She watched as Ophelia walked over to the panel and fiddled with the knobs. She pulled on her key ring and inserted a key then turned it. Lights flickered on in front of Jisoo and through the glass, Jisoo watched Jennie raise her head and shift from a sitting position to kneeling. Despite the scratches and bruises she had sustained, her friend was still breathtakingly gorgeous. A rush of nausea pounded into Jisoo and she took a deep breath. Jennie squinted in the sudden light and the sound of rattling chains emitted from a speaker above Jisoo's head.

A loud clunk emitted from the door and Jisoo pulled it open and entered the interrogation room. Jennie's hands were cuffed together at the wrist, the cuffs were attached to a pillar low to the ground, and her ankles were shackled together. A simple gag kept her from speaking and her kneel was the highest Jennie could raise herself due to the height of the pillar.

Jennie raised her head as Jisoo walked towards her. Jisoo could tell that Jennie's eyes were burning with anger, pain, and confusion but she avoided her stare. Taking a page from her mother's interrogation tactics, Jisoo circled around Jennie, forcing the girl to swivel her head silently. She paused momentarily in the center of the room, her back to Ophelia and finally returned the stare from Jennie.
