Jisoo was able to catch glimpses of the greater battle around her as she spun and deflected YG's attacks. There was Jennie to her right side, blocking Dancer's spinning high kicks and twisting jabs and throwing powerful hooks of her own. In another moment, she caught sight of Rosie being grabbed and thrown off of Titania's head. She didn't see the impact but she heard her friend hit the ground. Now that she had her mother's full attention, Jisoo had no choice but to remain on the defensive, the longer reach of the cane meant that her mother was able to repel any attempts she made to close the distance. It didn't help that their fighting styles were so similar.

The last she saw of Lisa was Sylvia dragging her down the hallway, followed by Titania, before her vision was blocked by YG once more. Rosie's body disappeared from the ground a moment later and a humongous crashing sound followed and Jisoo couldn't help but grin to herself. Rosie was as tenacious as she was crafty.

Jisoo no longer fought with rage. She understood her current priority was simply to buy time for Rosie to escape and eventually she dodged and dove her way back to Jennie's side. They backed into each other, Jennie facing Dancer and Jisoo facing her mother. A throaty bellow of anger came from the hallway that could only have come from Titania. In response, Jennie's left arm brushed against Jisoo's elbow. She subtly pushed at it, giving the signal to end the fight. Dancer and YG both started forward and Jisoo dropped to her hands and knees, touching her sweating forehead to the floor. Jennie did the same, spinning to turn her back to Dancer and bowing in front of YG.

"Ah." YG froze mid-stride. "Surrendering so soon?" She smirked, barely out of breath. Dancer immediately dropped her stance and stood at attention.

Jisoo could tell that her mother was seething with rage. It was a testament to her immaculate control and an acknowledgement of BlackPink's worth that she did not strike at their defenseless bodies.

"We are not surrendering but coming to our senses." Jennie spoke carefully, never lifting her head.

"...Go on." YG tapped her cane against the marble floor.

"We offer our greatest apologies Madame." Jennie said nervelessly, "You must understand we acted upon instinct. We were trained to attack and neutralize any threat to our group. Your much deserved punishment upon Lisa was simply unexpected. Our bodies reacted before we could think."

"Much deserved..." YG mused to herself. "Well at least one of you has some sense." She replied in Korean.

"Well, neither of you were really a threat at any point." YG began her customary circling of their position. "But that does not mean you have not greatly insulted me with your actions."

Dancer must not understand Korean, Jisoo thought to herself. She must really think Lisa is dead if she's letting us off so easily. Deep down, Jisoo knew that Lisa had a slim chance of surviving such an injury, but the fact that she wasn't instantly killed was a miracle in itself. When has Mother ever failed to finish a target?

"Do you have nothing to say, daughter? As usual, your second in command seems to do all the speaking for you."

Jisoo pushed her thoughts aside and raised her head to look at her mother. "It is as she said, Madame. I am deeply sorry for my actions. I reacted without thinking. Please do not consider today a reflection of my opinion of you. You always make the correct choice." And she's not my second in command. I won't be the leader you want me to be. She bent her head momentarily, worried that her mask might slip or YG might see through it if she kept eye contact.

YG stopped her circling and stood in front of the two of them, tapping her cane against the floor once more. Dancer came to stand next to her boss, panting slightly but seeming to sport no injuries despite having fought against the powerful Jennie.
