Fifty Minutes Prior
Jennie closed the storage door then spun around and pressed her back against the wall facing the storage closet. She sprinted towards the door that hid the injured Sylvia and at the last possible moment before impact, Jennie jumped into the air and powerfully kicked off the wall and pushed herself upwards. She extended her hands and pushed open the ceiling panel. The panels weighed more than she expected and her upward momentum stalled. Jennie twisted her body in mid air and grabbed onto the steel network of supporting beams. She clambered up and spread her arms and feet out wide to balance in between panels. Jennie quickly slid the panel back over the opening as combat boots slammed in the hallway. The two groups of guards that she had seen earlier on either side of the hallway stopped right below her hiding spot, in front of her former dungeon cell.
"Anything?" A guard drawled, clearly not expecting a positive answer.
"Nothing yet Sir. We're in progress with the sweep on the north zone, beginning the east and west zones soon. The south zone was under sealed construction earlier this year so all entrances and vents are sealed. Zero chance of escape and no exits leading up that way. They won't be able to hide much longer."
"Uhuh. Did we check this one yet?" A metallic clang sounded as someone tapped a gun against the dungeon door.
"Sergeant? That's where they were being held. Once we heard the siren here in the hallway, why would-"
"Idiot! That's the first place you should have checked. Now she's going to be on all of our asses." Their sergeant raised his voice as he interrupted, stress causing his voice to crack and Jennie smirked. They're feeling the pressure. It was one thing for Lisa and Rosie to escape during the initial chaos but if I can break Sylvia and myself out of the *legendary* YG dungeons? There will be hell for the YG employees to pay.
The second guard reacted with a high pitched noise of distress. "Wait you mean she's coming down here?"
"No YG ain't coming down here." Jennie could almost hear the sergeant rolling his eyes. "But this floor is one of the dungeon levels, rookie. That means our long range communicators don't work down here. Only things that work are touch devices like keycards, vital scanners and good old fashioned alarm systems. If our Commanding Officer wants to get reports during the job then that grizzled old b-"
"Report." A new voice. Clear and stern.
The hallway filled with the clacking of guns as they swung their weapons around to face the sound.
"Bi-Ahem. Welcome Ma'am!" The sergeant was first to recover.
Boots clicked as all the guards saluted. "Yes... Er. No contact yet Ma'am."
"I see." The new voice continued as if surprise and fear were common reactions to her presence, "Sergeant, this was her holding cell was it not? Where are the ones sent to retrieve the employee?" Her tone crushed simple questions into commanding statements, demanding perfect answers.
"Our sensors show that they're still in the room, Ma'am."
"Did she kill them?"
"Their vitals are yellow."
"Go in there and get them. I will make them wish she killed them."
A sharp clack against the tiled floor as the guards saluted before unlocking the dungeon door. There was only silence in the hallway as the steel door creaked open. Jennie's smirk disappeared in annoyance. The blaring dungeon siren would have been a great help in disposing of the group without attracting attention.
The silence expanded and filled the hallway as the commanding officer and her sergeant waited for Lightstick and Cocky to be dragged out. Jennie could only imagine the awkward glances the remaining guard was throwing.
