A long legged woman walked through the entrance as low electronic music pumped throughout the room. Her makeup was perfectly set with an emphasis on her piercing eyes. Her white crop top and black contrasting skirt served as advertisements to her figure and beautiful face. She could sense the shift in the energy of the room's occupants as they took notice of her and various conversations shifted to the topic of the new girl.
She brushed a finger against her blonde hair, pushing a strand of her bangs away from her eye, and used the moment to take note of the civilians who were whispering to each other. She flashed a warm smile at the ones who were looking towards her, making a strong impact to ensure that her cover was well received and her alibi confirmed.
Not that anyone would ever suspect us.
They smiled back and waved at her. She bobbed her head and gave a shy wave in response. An usher in front of her stepped to the side and held out a hand towards an empty seat in the front row.
"Your seat is right up front, Miss Manoban."
"Ah. Thank you." Lisa took a step towards her seat before posing for the photographers that were positioned across from her. She sat down and plastered a focused but neutral look on her face as cameras continued to flash.
To her left was a man engrossed in a conversation with a woman to his side. He looked vaguely familiar as the creative director or designer of a major fashion brand. Lisa hoped she could remember the exact details from the briefing by the time he tried to make conversation with her. To her right was a beautiful woman with dark black hair wearing an intricately colored dress with a wide belt cinched around her waist. She looked up and smiled at Lisa as she sat down.
Lisa lightly bumped her arm against hers and leaned over, still looking towards the cameras. "Hi Jisoo-unnie." She combined the words together with lazy familiarity.
Jisoo brushed a hand through her long hair and pushed it back to give the cameras a better angle as she angled herself towards Lisa. She gave a half smirk. "Just Jisoo is fine. And remember English to practice while we're in America."
The two girls fell silent and soon the photographers and press stopped taking pictures, raising their hands in thanks to the compliance of the stunning celebrities.
Shortly after, the music rose a few levels and the fashion show began. Seated right in front of the runway, it would be impossible for eavesdroppers to make out anything.
The first model strutted past them wearing an audacious outfit. Jisoo leaned in again, this time her lips brushing against Lisa's ear. "Mine was clean. Any problems on your end?"
Lisa resisted the temptation to curl her shoulder up as Jisoo's breath tickled her. Her breathy voice caused a flash of heat to warm her chest. She took a breath and then shook her head slightly before replying. "None. We should be good for Jennie and Rosie to finish."
They held their silence again until the next wave of models. A model passed by, wearing a skirt with holes cut out around her hips and pelvis and a see through top. Lisa held back a smile at the model's outfit as a tremor of activity swept through the back of the room. She didn't need to look at Jisoo to know that her teammate had seen it as well.
The security that lined the room had just received a distressing report.
It would go unnoticed by most in the room but it was painfully obvious to those who were trained in observation.
Looks like they got it done.
"Those two work well together," Jisoo commented in confirmation of Lisa's thoughts.
