3:31am: Floor 49

"Wait hold on." Rosie grunted as she clenched her arm. The soldier in her chokehold struggled silently for a few more seconds before limply falling to the floor. She turned to face Jennie. "So you're saying that we have more time than we thought to get to Jisoo? Why didn't you say so earlier?! I've been running headfirst into gunfire for nothing!"

Jennie rubbed her brow, "No, Rosie that's literally not what I'm saying at all."

Lisa came jogging from around the corner, holding her gun with a now bloody muzzle. She slung it around her shoulder as she approached. "Why are you two standing around? Let's go, we're almost there." The other two were standing on either side of the door and she made as if to walk between them.

Jennie held out a hand to block her way, "Wait Lisa."

Lisa looked down at the hand in front of her and Jennie jerked her hand back.

"Just listen for a moment." Rosie pleaded.

Lisa released a miniscule amount of tension from her shoulders and looked at her teammates.

Rosie nodded at Jennie.

"Okay. So as I was trying to explain to Rosie, we should try to avoid being seen until the last possible moment when we get to Jisoo.

"What, you want to sneak in?" Lisa interrupted Jennie. "I think we lost the element of surprise when I crashed through the front door. YG will be expecting us now."

"No you didn't." Jennie said with a smile. "You two broke into the building around 3:15am right? I saw you on the security cameras. And I got another call a little while before that." She winked.

Rosie looked puzzled, "Right, so if you saw us why didn't you do something to stop all these soldiers from getting in our way?"

"I did! I already explained all of this to you so why are you even interrupting me?"

"Because you're being suspenseful and mysterious for no reason! And what about this other call?"

"I'll explain that when the time is right! The information is on a need to know basis and you'd probably forget it if I told you anyways."

"Can you two quit it and just hurry up and explain!." Lisa raised her voice impatiently.

Jennie gave Rosie a haughty side eye, Rosie stuck her tongue out at her, before continuing. "As I was trying to explain... Aneya, the front desk clerk, called in the situation the minute it happened and her report went right to the control room. Normally, with that type of emergency they would have notified YG immediately. Luckily, or I guess thanks to Jisoo's planning, I was already there to intercept the message. YG and Red Velvet were still in the middle of their meeting when that happened. Jisoo arrived shortly after that to report to YG. I couldn't hear what happened but something YG said or did resulted in Jisoo and Red Velvet fighting. That's when they went down to the 50th floor."

Realization was beginning to dawn on Lisa's face. "I get it. You're saying that YG hasn't heard about us yet. You've been in the control room for a lot longer than any of them realize." She nodded at Rosie in agreement, "But then what's with all the security?"

Jennie shrugged, "I could only stop the reports from going up to YG. I can't do anything about soldiers and workers hearing a bunch of gunfire in the lobby of their building. And actually-" Jennie pulled out the communicator tied to her waist. "YG should have received the report about us about five minutes ago."

Lisa tapped her foot impatiently as she dealt with Jennie's dramatics, "And why haven't we lost the element of surprise?"

"Because the report YG just received was the original report by Aneya." Jennie leaned back with a self congratulating look of joy.  "I had the guards in the control room send out a delayed report. I knew we wouldn't be able to keep YG from knowing forever so we just had to make sure to dictate the how and when she found out."
