So most people wanted Sammy x Norman, I'm definitely not complaining I love this ship so-

Sammy stared out the window of the taxi he was riding in. A tear fell from his lashes as he tried to hold them back.
Sammy Lawrence was a young man at the age of 18, finally able to move away from his abusive parents. He moved into an entire different city, into the country side.
There were barely any neighbours for miles, trees and forests taking their place. Sammy had a job since he was fifteen and saved up enough money to move away.
It was raining out. Sammy sighed, wiping the tears off his face with his sleeve. He'd had a rough life, no friends, nobody that cared.
But, he remembered when he was seven years old. He was at the hospital to visit his deathly ill grandmother. His grandmother was the only one who truly cared for him.
And she knew his parents were horrible. So, as she was laying in the hospital, a day before she would die, she pulled Sammy into one final hug.
"Remember Sammy, no matter what anyone says, no matter what anyone does, you have to promise me that you'll keep hope and faith with you, and that you will find happiness." She said.
Her eyes were tear filled, needing her grandson to promise her this. Sammy nodded, crying as well. "I p-promise!" He sniffled.
He moved on in life, despite how many times he'd been told to kill himself, despite how many times he was told he was useless, terrible, annoying, worthless.
He did it for the one person who'd ever loved him for who he was. But he suffered. Every day, down to every second.
Even when he was asleep it was only nightmares. Sammy pulled up the collar of his jacket, hiding a cut on the back of his neck.
He had a black eye, multiple cuts and bruises all over him after he told his parents he was leaving. Finally, the taxi dropped him off at the end of a long gravelly driveway.
Sammy paid the impatient man, and then made his way to a creepy looking house. It was cold and depressing outside, just like how Sammy felt all the time.
The house wasn't small, but it wasn't huge either, and it had a massive yard with a long gate surrounding it. It was filled with overgrown weeds and trees, wild animals living around in it.
The dirt paths in the garden were overgrown, leading to a small pond with huge goldfish from years of living there.
The one belonging Sammy had was a guitar. It was his grandmothers. He loved music, and greatly enjoyed playing the instrument.
Sammy entered the dark house, flicking on the dim lights. There was a musty smell, a moth eaten couch behind a wooden table, and facing the couch on the opposite wall was an empty fireplace.
There was a huge stack of wood in a closet to the side of the room. It was chilling in the house, so Sammy grabbed some wood and started a fire.
He sat on an old but comfy rug in front of it, enjoying the warmth. Little did he know, he wasn't alone in the house...
—————————
A family used to live here long ago, a very nice family. The Polks. There was a mother and father, and three children.
The oldest child was Tim Polk, The middle child was Norman Polk, And the youngest child was June Polk. They all died.
Well, mostly. Norman Polk was still...kind of alive. Well he was dead, but he was a phantom. Like a ghost, but not able to go through walls or objects. He could hover/fly a bit.
He was a glowing translucent blue, you couldn't see through him but light could pass through him, making him slightly glow in the dark.
He was leaning in the doorway from the living room that led to the kitchen. The other day a sold sign went up on his houses front lawn.
He'd had to scare some people out of his house before, and he was ready to do it again. Those were the people who mistreated the house and the animals that lived in the garden.
Norman didn't like those people one bit. He thought the humans of this generation were just like that. The handle on the door jiggled, and then it slowly opened.
Norman flew upwards and crouched on the boards in the ceiling, where he couldn't be spotted.
He saw a short blonde man walk in and look around the living room for a while, before shivering and deciding to start a fire.
Norman wasn't going to have another horrible human in this house, so he instantly started to test Sammy to see if he were a good human.
First one, is he nice to animals. Norman flew silently out of the room. He went to the back door that was in the kitchen.
He opened it quietly and went outside, looking for one of the old farm animals he used to take care of. It wouldn't be the exact animals, but their offspring and so on.
He found a fluffy sheep, it was smaller than all the other sheep and therefore the one pushed out of the shelter.
It looked pretty young too. Norman landed on his feet and pet the poor shivering thing in its fluffy head.
Norman picked up the small sheep and gently hauled it over to the house and inside. To get Sammy's attention, he left the door open and then knocked a pot onto the floor. It landed in front of the sheep.
Norman then quickly flew back up to a board in the ceiling. He leaned his head over and waited, eyes glued to the living room doorway.
Sammy poked his head in, carefully tracing his eyes along the room. He spotted the sheep. And the open door.
He sighed, walking over and picking up the pot. He glared down at the fluffy hoofed animal. It let out a baa.
Sammy's face softened. "I would put you right back outside, but it is pretty cold out, and I'm kinda lonely, so why don't you come over by the fire with me?" Sammy smiled.
He scratched underneath the sheep's chin, the animal stretching its neck out. Sammy giggled, then went over to close the open door.
The little sheep followed him, taking an instant liking to Sammy. Norman smiled, his heart warming at the sight.
He stealthily followed them back over to the fireplace. Sammy sat down on the rug. The sheep folded his legs underneath him as he laid down, resting his head in Sammy's lap.
The human giggled and stroked the sheep's wooly head. It enjoyed the attention. Norman watched them, his smile slowly faltering.
He missed his family. He missed when he was around people that loved him and that he loved. He missed being hugged.
Some people other than Sammy have definitely passed the animal test, but none have ever passed the second test.
It was Norman. If they could accept him, and be his friend, he'd let them stay here. If they were scared of him, he'd scare them away without even meaning to. Norman quietly sighed.
He hated feeling so lonely. For so many years. As he stared at Sammy, the firelight illuminated his black eye and the long cut on the back of his neck. Norman's eyes widened, wondering what had happened.
Sammy started talking to the sheep. "Y'know, you're the only living thing that seems to understand me even a little. Not even my own parents loved me. They hit me...they hurt me...they kept telling me to kill myself..." Sammy's eyes welled with tears.
The sheep nuzzled his hand, as if it understood. The blonde man sniffled. "But now I'm finally gone from them. This morning was the last time I'll ever see them." He said.
Norman felt terrible for Sammy. He wanted to bundle the small man up in his arms and hug him and tell him everything would be okay.
But he couldn't. He was a phantom, people were terrified of him. He didn't want to have to chase Sammy out, but that would be Sammy's decision once Norman showed himself.
So he silently floated down from the ceiling boards and slowly approached Sammy. He stood across the room from him.
He loudly knocked on the wooden wall. Sammy whipped around, thinking another animal had gotten in.
His jaw dropped. His eyes widened. The same reaction that everyone else had before they ran out the door.
But Sammy felt frozen, like he couldn't move. "Hello." Norman said, trying to sound kind. Sammy gulped, trying to shake the fear from himself.
If life had taught him anything, it was not to judge others on how they appeared.
Whatever that glowing blue man was, Sammy could do the nice thing and give him a chance to prove he was kind.
So Sammy tried to say hello back, but all he managed to do was let out a weird whine. "I know I may look misleading, but I really wouldn't hurt you, I promise." Norman said.
Sammy took a deep breath to calm his nerves. "W-what are you?" He stuttered. Norman smiled kindly. "I'm not sure. Sort of a phantom I guess. I've lived here for many years." The blue man said.
"D-did you w-want me to leave? I c-could go if you want me to." Sammy offered shakily, edging towards the door.
Norman could see the uncertain fear in his eyes. "No! Please don't go!" Norman pleaded, stepping forwards and startling Sammy.
The human grabbed the doorknob to leave, but stopped at the desperate saddened look on Norman's face.
"Why wouldn't you want me to leave your home, I mean, I did come here uninvited..." Sammy said, feeling less scared.
"It's awfully lonely here, I've been waiting for someone to finally buy this house so I could maybe make a friend." Norman explained.
The sheep got up with an annoyed look on its fuzzy face. It nudged its snout into Sammy's hand, bleating for attention.
Sammy scratched it behind its ears. "What if they tried hurting you?" He asked. Norman shrugged. "I've already died once, can't die again." He said. Sammy understood his pain of being alone for so many years.
"I know how you feel, I've been alone my entire life, abusive parents, no friends, being bullied when I was at school..." Sammy trailed off.
He absentmindedly lifted a hand up to the cut on his neck. It was getting worse, as he didn't know how to heal infected wounds.
"Is...is that what happened to your neck?" Norman asked carefully. Sammy nodded. "It doesn't matter." He said.
"Yes it does, it looks infected. That's not good, you need to treat it." Norman tentatively took a step forwards.
Sammy didn't back away anymore. "I don't know how." He admitted. "I can help you? If you're okay with it." Norman offered.
Sammy was hesitant. There was a strong possibility that Norman could be pretending to be kind and was really going to kill Sammy.
But something told Sammy he could trust Norman, somehow, he knew he wouldn't hurt him. "Alright, but if I see you holding a knife, I'm out." Sammy said.
Norman grinned, glad Sammy would let him help. "Come to the bathroom, there's a first aid kit in the cupboard under the sink, we can use that." Norman started towards a door on the other side of the living room.
Sammy followed, the sheep laying back down in front of the warm fireplace. They went into the bathroom and Norman rummaged around in the cupboard until he found the first aid kit.
"Can I see the cut?" Norman asked. Sammy leaned his head forwards, revealing his neck. "It doesn't look too bad, a little disinfectant on it should help it heal quickly." Norman said.
"Okay." Sammy said. Norman very carefully applied disinfectant into Sammy's cut, being as gentle as possible.
He stood back after a few minutes. "Done." He said. Sammy raised his head up straight. "So...are you dead?" He asked.
"Obviously. I mean, I am a glowing blue phantom, of course I'm dead." Norman laughed. "Why are you laughing at your death?" Sammy asked.
"I'm stuck like this forever. What do I care if people talk about the past?" Norman smiled. Sammy never thought of pain that way before.
Sometimes I wish I could stay the same, but many years ago I promised someone that I'd stay alive." Sammy said.
"What is your name by the way? Mine is Norman." The phantom asked. "Sammy." The blonde answered.
"That's a nice name." Norman smiled, laying down in the air and floating upside down. Sammy tilted his head to try and be level with Norman.
"You have a nice name too." Sammy said. Norman flipped right side up, placing his hands on either side of Sammy's face to examine his eye.
"You have a black eye, it doesn't look too bad though." He said. His face was very close to Sammy's, causing the human to blush.
"Y-yeah, it doesn't matter." Sammy responded. "Yes it does. You seem like such a nice person, you never deserved that." Norman sighed.
He grabbed Sammy's face again, forcing him to look into his eyes. "You are not with your parents anymore, you are safe and cared for here, okay?" Norman said.
Sammy felt his heart warm. Someone actually cared, Norman didn't know just how much that meant to him, he couldn't help but burst into tears.
The phantom was startled at the sudden sobbing Sammy, but was quick to bundle him up into a comforting hug.
"W-what's wrong?!" Norman asked in a slight panic. Sammy tried saying something but was crying too hard for Norman to understand.
"Why don't we go sit by the fire?" Norman asked. The crying Sammy nodded. Norman just carried the short man over to the rug where they sat.
Sammy sobbed into his chest for a while, Norman comfortingly rubbing his back and hugging him. Soon Sammy managed to calm down and stop crying.
"The closest thing to skew thing kind anyone's ever told me before you was t-to k-kill myself." Sammy sniffled.
"Aww, Sammy I'm sorry. You deserve so much better than that, your such an amazing person." Norman smiled.
Sammy's eyes started to water again. "Why are you being so n-nice to me?" He asked shakily. "Because, you deserve love, everyone does. Despite what you've been through, you find it in your heart to be kind. Your the first person ever to actually stay here after I showed myself." Norman said.
"Don't ever think you deserve anything bad to happen to you-" Norman continued, until Sammy cut him off by leaning upwards and pressing his lips against Norman's.
The phantom's eyes went wide, his face blushing. But he felt completely happy. And so did Sammy. Norman wrapped his arms tighter, but still gently around Sammy.
The human suddenly came to his senses and pulled away. "I-I'm so sorry, I've only known you for about an hour!" Sammy spluttered.
His face was bright red. Norman just grinned and blushed. "Don't be sorry, it was probably going to happen eventually." He laughed.
"Oh, so you can tell the future now?" Sammy asked jokingly. "Heh, I wish. It's just cuz of how much you were blushing around me-" Norman laughed, stopping at the annoyed look on Sammy's currently blushing face.
"Like right now for example." He smirked. "Ha ha, whatever." Sammy rolled his eyes. Norman leaned over and kissed him again.
Eventually they parted so Sammy could breathe. "See, it did happen in the future." Norman smirked. "Oh, we'll see who can predict the future more times." Sammy said with a sly grin.
