February 14th. Valentine's Day. Wally had never felt more alone in his life and he only woke up an hour ago.
He entered the studio and sighed, his usually cheery aura turned into a sad one. Yeah, he did love someone, but that someone was his best friend, and plus, Wally wasn't sure if he was even gay.
The janitor moodily unlocked his closet and frowned as he straightened one of the brooms and just waited for someone to tell him about a mess he could clean.
Well currently he thought he could clean up his attitude because he wasn't going to let others think he was lonely, or very sad.
Even though he was. He waited for five minutes, and usually Shawn would come up telling him he spilt his ink bottle. But he didn't, not today.
Wally shrugged, and just locked up his closet. He walked around with his hands in his pockets, not having anything better to do.
He passed by the toy department and looked in. Shawn wasn't even there. The janitor just kept walking.
Next he saw the music departments door slightly open and he peeked in to see what Sammy was up to.
He was sitting in a chair, facing the projectionist, Norman, who was also sitting in a chair.
He held a guitar and Sammy held one as well. "Okay, let's go over the chords one more time." Sammy said. Norman played a deities of chords on the guitar going from highest to lowest.
"Good! Your getting better!" Sammy smiled. "That's because I have the best teacher." Norman said. "Well I am a professional on all instruments, so yes." Sammy said.
"Not only that, you're also adorable and I love you so much." Norman smirked, placing his guitar down and leaning over to kiss the musician.
Sammy blushed a bit but smiled and kissed back. Wally just left. He let out a long sigh, feeling hollow inside.
After he passed Grants office he stopped in his tracks again and honestly wasn't surprised.
Shawn was sitting in Grants lap, petting his hair. "Shaaaawn, I need to do my work, so do you!" Grant whined.
"Nope, not today, I'm staying with you for the full day, I know you don't want me to leave, or do you?" Shawn asked.
"...no, I'd rather you stay..." Grant mumbled. "That's what I thought." Shawn laughed. Grant pursed his lips in annoyance.
"I love youuuuu!" Shawn cooed, kissing his forehead. Grant couldn't help but smile. "I love you more you stupid toy maker." He said.
Wally prayed his eyes away, his soul in pain. As he walked down the hall, he just ignored all doors. Then as he passed the lyricist department, he thought maybe he could visit Jack.
Unless of course he was busy too. He probably was, Jack was pretty smart, and also pretty...well, amazing in every way, in Wally's eyes.
He was hesitant about opening the door, but put on a fake smile and slowly opened it. Why was he not surprised to see Lacie standing beside Jack's desk, leaning over closely to him.
"But aren't you lonely?" Lacie asked in a flirty voice. Jack huffed. "Look, I don't want you to be near me, please just leave, I need to get some work done and frankly, I'm just not interested." Jack growled.
"But why? Do you already have a girlfriend?" Lacie asked. "No, I'm lonely! Is that what you want to hear?" Jack raised his voice a bit.
"No, I want to know if you wanted to go out with me." Lacie said. "I SAID NO!!! ALMOST THREE TIMES NOW!!" Jack shouted, angrily throwing his sharp fountain pen.
There was a quiet Yelp of pain and the two arguing turned to see Wally. "I...think I came in at a bad time, Jack if ya want yer fountain pen it's Uh...a bit bloody..." Wally winced as he pointed at the sharp pen stabbed deeply into his upper arm.
Jack gasped. "OH MY GOD WALLY I'M SO SORRY ARE YOU OKAY?!?!?" Jack shouted, dashing over to the janitor.
Blood seeped through his shirt sleeve. "Yeah...there's more blood than there should be right? My arm hurts..." Wally studied the pen half in his arm.
"I'm taking you down to the nurses office." Jack said. "I could just walk down there myself, ya should finish yer work and conversation or whatever ya were doin." Wally said, starting to walk.
"No, I'm coming with you, it's my fault anyways...I'm really sorry." Jack said, looking really guilty. "Naw, it's fine, last time this happened, it was with a chipped pipe and a definitely not-sorry Thomas." Wally chuckled.
"That's...concerning." Jack said. "At least you have good aim, and apparently a very strong throw." Wally joked.
"How are you joking about a pen half lodged into your arm?!" Jack asked in bewilderment. Wally shrugged. "Right, I forgot, you're Wally." He said. Wally smiled.
"The one and only, and also the studios top idiot." He grinned. Jack laughed. "You sure you're okay?" He asked.
Wally nodded. They arrived at the nurses office. The door was closed with a paper on it. "What's that?" Wally asked.
Jack leaned forwards to read it.
"Nurse is out for the day, be back tomorrow, if any accidents happen that don't need the hospital, please use needed equipment if only you know how,
Thank you and I'll be back tomorrow."
Jack and Wally silently stared at the note for a minute.
"Wonderful." Wally said. "It's okay, I actually studied for being a doctor when I was in college, and then I learned about the fact that I could become something that payed not nearly as much, but something I loved doing, so I know how to help you with that." Jack said.
"Huh, as long as ya don't kill me, sure." Wally shrugged. The two went in and Jack looked for some things and then walked over to Wally.
"Here, sit down on the bench." Jack ordered. "Yes madame." Wally said, sitting down. Jack rolled his eyes.
"Alright, now I'm not going to lie when I say removing the pen will hurt like hell, but it's not like you can walk around with a pen in your arm." Jack said.
"Yes I could, I could become a new superhero, Penman! And I can catch bad guys and spray them with ink that binds them!" Wally emphasized.
Jack laughed. "Then who would keep me company?" He asked, looking at Wally with puppy-dog eyes, and tilting his head.
Wally pursed his lips. "Kay fine, you may remove my superpowers." He said. Jack gingerly grabbed the pen. "Brace yourself for pain." He warned.
Wally nodded. Jack ripped the pen out of his arm, Wally yelling loudly in pain.
His wound bled a lot more now that the pen wasn't clogging it. He looked up at Jack. "Okay, uh...that doesn't look good, it doesn't need stitches or anything, just one of those big bandages." Jack said. Wally nodded. "Better then being sewn up like a voodoo doll." He said.
Jack waited for a few seconds. "Uh...you do know that you have to um- take your shirt off." Jack said. Huh?!" Wally asked.
"S-so I can put the bandage on!" Jack spluttered quickly. "O-oh, r-right." Wally blushed as he took off his shirt and Jack's face was equally red.
No body said anything as Jack cleaned up the janitors bloody arm and wrapped it up. As he was doing this, Shawn just happed to walk by and was holding his plushy, walking next to Grant.
He saw Wally with no shirt, and the two blushing messes.
He smirked to himself as Jack finished putting in the bandage. The toy maker squeaked the plushy, Jack and Wally both being jumpy grabbed onto each other and screamed.
Shawn snorted with laughter. "Y'know, you're both acting quite red faced for just being friends, I mean, you shouldn't be so flustered about seeing a guy without a shirt, have ya ever been to a pool or beach?" Shawn smirked.
The two separated and glared at Shawn. "I'm just saying, you two are so gay for each other, I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet." He said, then left.
Jack and Wally were silent. The janitor put his shirt back on with a red face.
"Wally, I'm really sorry-" Jack started, but was interrupted when the janitor grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him into a kiss.
Jack kissed back without hesitation, both of them filling with happiness. "I guess we are super gay for each other." Wally joked.
Jack laughed. "Yeah, I guess we are." He smiled.
