The title is an Irish saying btw, and I celebrate St. Patrick's day cuz I have Irish heritage. I'm about a quarter Irish.
It was already annoying enough, Shawn got overly excited about holidays. But on St. Patrick's day, oh god no.
He would be yelling like a maniac, throwing clover pins at people to wear, and you could just sense his Irish a mile away.
Grant tended to avoid him on this day. He didn't hate Shawn, just found him incredibly annoying. And yet, the most amazing person ever.
Grant was always frustrated with himself. Why did he love and hate that man so much? His feelings were a jumbled mess of confusion so he just ignored them.
It was halfway through the morning at work and so far he'd managed to avoid having a clover pin thrown at him.
So far.
There were a couple voices coming closer to his door. He recognized Shawn's immediately but it took him a second to recognize Wally's.
He knew they were probably coming to his office so he bolted out the door and down the hall. "Hey! Grant!" He heard Shawn call.
He ignored the voice he'd grown to love so much and continued speed walking down the hall. He soon found himself in front of the door of the office which belonged to his best friend.
He knocked in the door. "Shawn if that's you again I'm going to shove the pin you gave me in your eye." Thomas called.
"It's Grant." The accountant replied. "Oh, then come in." Thomas said. Grant hastily came in, leaning against the wall.
"You look slightly out of breath, who were you speed walking away from?" Thomas asked. "Who do you think? This is the one day a year I avoid Shawn. I'd rather not end the day with a stab mark from a clover pin." Grant answered briskly.
"Ah, okay then, so you're hiding in here?" Thomas questioned. "Yeah." Grant nodded. "You know he'll find you eventually, guess what he told me." Thomas smirked.
"Oh no, what did he tell you?" Grant asked. "So he told me he noticed that you avoided him every St. Patrick's day and has now made it a goal today to track you down and make you wear a clover pin." Thomas chuckled.
Grant sighed. "I'll never get any work done today." He grumbled. There was a knock on the door and the two shot to their feet.
"Oh no, I'll bet it's-" Grant started whispering. "Hey! Tom have ya seen Grant?" Shawn called through the door.
"No." Thomas said. Shawn opened the door anyways. "Ya sure ya haven't seen him? I've been looking for him for a while but-hey you lied he's in here!" Shawn said, having had spotted Grant.
"Ah well, sorry bud I tried." Tom laughed. "Grant, do ya wanna clover pin?" Shawn asked. "Noo... I need to go-" Grant bolted out the door.
Shawn raced after him. "You got out of it last time, not this time though!" Shawn yelled. Grant felt like an idiot when he ran into a dead end hallway.
Shawn was right behind him and had him cornered. He had a grin on his face. "C'mon! Have some Irish spirit!" He said.
"N-o." Grant curled up into a ball on the floor, blocking his shirt so that Shawn couldn't put a pin in it. Shawn sat beside him.
They heard footsteps and the two looked up. "Ah, see you've caught him, well Grant you left your notebook in my office." Tom smirked, throwing the book to the accountant.
He caught it, shoving the number crowded notebook in his back pocket. "Aw c'mon! I'll do something for you if you wear one." Shawn offered.
Grant was about to answer when Thomas interrupted. "Hey Shawn, he'll wear one probably if you give him something..." Tom said.
"What?" Shawn asked. Grants eyes widened a she realized what Tom was going to say. "Wait Thomas no!" He yelped.
"Kiss him." Thomas smirked. Grant's face flushed red. "Believe me, it'll do the trick, just kiss him and he'll do it, you could say it's more of a trade, if you do something he wants he'll do something you wan-"
Thomas was cut off.
"NOOO! SHUT UP THOMAS!!" Grant shouted, his face burning. Shawn was silent, not knowing how to react to this.
Tom laughed. "Good luck with that then." He walked off, chuckling to himself.
"I-I am so sorry." Grant refused to look into Shawn's eyes. "I really didn't mean for that to happen I-" he was cut off.
"Kiss me." Shawn said with a blank face.
Grant was silent for a second, then slowly turned his head to look at the Irish man. "W-what?!" He asked. "You heard what I said, kiss me." Shawn repeated. His face had begun to turn red.
"S-Shawn you don't have to, Thomas was just joking around." Grant said awkwardly. Shawn ignored him and grabbed the front of his shirt, leaning in and kissing him.
All of Grants negative thought melted away and all he knew at that moment was that he had only feelings of love for this Irish man.
They slowly departed, staring into each others eyes. "You have a clover pin on now." Shawn smiled. It took a second for Grants brain to process what Shawn had said.
"Huh?" He looked down at his short and saw that Shawn had in fact neatly pinned a bright green four leaf clover pin on his shirt.
"When-?" Grant turned his head up to ask but was met with another kiss instead of an answer. "When I did that." Shawn grinned.
Grant saw he had another clover pin on his shirt. "How the hell-Shawn n o!" Grant laughed. "It's too late, nothing can stop me now!" Shawn giggled.
This went in for a while until Wally walked in on them and told literally everyone what happened. Because that's what a Wally does.Btw LittleDemon55 I'm gonna start working on the Gravity Falls thing after we get characters sorted out. Also this is the 50th part of this book!
