Ever since Bendy was brought to life by Joey and his black magic, his heart was instantly caught by the studio's animator, Henry Stein. He refused to leave Henry alone all day until the man left when work was over.
One might've been ticked off by an energetic demon following them every waking second they were at work, but Henry never seemed to mind. He actually quite enjoyed the demon's company.
They had quickly become the best of friends, inseparable. During work hours it was rare to see one without the other. All the pranks they had pulled on the other employees, all the late nights Henry had worked while Bendy scolded him for not getting more sleep.
The drawing lessons Henry gave to the small demon because he wanted Henry to be proud of him, even though the animator already was. Those were a few of the things the two did together back then.
Back then was where Bendy wished he could be. No, he was stuck all alone in the studio to rot. Henry was pulled away from him, Joey did that. Bendy knew if he ever saw Joey again, he'd tear that man into shreds.
As for Henry...he wouldn't ever come back. Did Henry even remember him? Has he tried coming back or did he no longer care? Was...was Bendy always just a friend to Henry? The demon shook the thoughts from his head.
Henry often swarmed his thoughts relentlessly, and no matter what Bendy did he couldn't forget the man. Bendy sighed in defeat and smacked his inky head into a wall. He lazily summoned an ink portal that took him to the first floor.
He stepped out into Henry's old office. The room was empty entirely except for Henry's old desk and chair, and one photograph on it. Bendy picked up the old photo and gazed down at it.
He remembered when they took it. It was after a year of knowing each other.

"Okay bud, you gotta stay still for a minute for this to work or it'll blur." Henry and Bendy were in his office, Henry holding the little toon and they were attempting to take a photo.
They had tried a few times already, but Bendy hated staying still. This time it finally worked, and Henry printed out two copies of it. He handed one to Bendy. "Keep it safe." He said.

Bendy dropped the photo back onto the desk. He had kept it safe, not a single blot of ink touched it. He only ever picked it up with his gloved hand. Despite that, it was still an old photo and it had started to get a little weathered.
Bendy didn't mind though. It was still a photo of him and Henry together. Just like how it used to be. He missed Henry more than anything about his old life, because Henry made him happy.
Without the animator, he just didn't feel complete. But Henry was gone, he'd never come back. Even if he did would he remember? Would he recognize Bendy after his appearance had changed so horribly?
Bendy's thoughts halted when he heard the sound of the door. Someone just came in. Bendy thought it must've been Joey. He stood and matched angrily towards the door. He was going to hurt that man so bad.
Bendy stopped and peered around the corner of the wall to see if it was Joey. Instead, he saw a stunned Henry gazing around at the wreck the studio now was. Bendy panicked. What should he do? He couldn't just run up to Henry like how it used to be, he might scare the poor man.
He heard Henry talking to himself. "I wonder if the toons were taken with him?" The animator asked himself, beginning to walk towards the hallway where Bendy was.
The demon just took a breath and stepped out in front of Henry. The animator yelped in surprise and quickly stepped back, making a lot of space in between him and Bendy. "Who-" he started to ask.
He looked at the cartoon teeth and the particular shaped head. The demon tail, bow tie, and one gloved hand. "B...Bendy?" Henry asked slowly. He wasn't exactly sure what he was looking at.
"Henry, ya finally came back." Bendy said. The two just stared at each other. Henry's eyes were wide and his limbs were shaking terribly.
"You don't know how many times I tried convincing Joey to let me come see you, but I had no idea he'd do something like..." Henry cut himself off and just ran over and hugged Bendy tightly.
The two sank to the floor hugging and crying in happiness. "Thirty years and I finally am able to see you again. I'd kill Joey if it weren't illegal." Henry said.
"I...we can't anyways. Joey used black magic so that anyone who comes in, ain't goin back out." Bendy explained. To his surprise, Henry just shrugged.
"Anywhere is fine if you're here too." The human said. That melted Bendy's heart. Now that he thought about it, the only reason he was so miserable was because Henry had been gone. But now he was back.
Now, everything was...almost perfect. Bendy cupped Henry's cheeks in his hands and kissed him, the animator kissing back. There. Now everything was perfect.
