Some Norman x Sammy requested by @StarLife666 I hope you like it : ) sorry it took so long tho, it kinda got lost in the sea of drafts. There's lots of drafts.

The guitar is one of the most popular instruments to have ever existed. Norman had always wanted to learn how to play, but he never did learn how.
He tried learning with just a book once but got too confused and gave up. It was quite difficult to learn an instrument, especially when you couldn't find someone to teach you.
That was just one of the many reasons why Norman admired Sammy Lawrence. He knew how to play almost any instrument known to man kind, and was incredibly talented at it as well.
Norman knew that Sammy was a busy man so he refrained from asking him to teach him the guitar. He'd just have to keep trying with the extremely confusing books.
He saved up all the spare money he possibly could and bought his own nice guitar and sometimes tried practicing with it in his booth when he had no work to do.
Yet he could never make sense of those stupid guitar books. One afternoon he was trying to figure out what one of the chords was when there was a knock on his door.
He placed it in its case and slid it under his desk, forgetting to put his book away. "Yeah?" He called. Sammy poked his head in.
"Hey, I was just seeing what you're doing because I have a little bit of free time for once." Sammy said, coming into his office and leaning against the railing.
"Oh, uh...nothing really. I also have some free time." Norman shrugged. He glanced to the side and weirdly crossed his arms.
Sammy raised an eyebrow. "Okay...hey, what's that book?" Sammy spotted the guitar book and curiously pointed towards it.
Norman didn't want anybody to know he was starting to try and play the guitar because he felt embarrassed about how his stupid brain couldn't figure out the book.
"Uh-nothing, just a diagram for a projector." Norman responded quickly, shutting the book and shoving it into a drawer.
Sammy gave him a weird look. "What are you hiding?" He asked.
"What do you mean? I'm not hiding anything!" Norman said a little too quickly.
Sammy looked at him as if he were stupid. "Well you're acting weird- is that a guitar case under your desk?" Sammy suddenly spotted the guitar and curiously looked at Norman.
      "No!" He instantly said.
"But...it is..." Sammy squinted suspiciously at Norman until the thought hit him. He let out a small gasp and smiled. "Norman! Are you trying to learn the guitar?" He asked with a grin.
Norman sighed in defeat. "Fine, yes. But it's stupid, I can't figure out how and I feel like an idiot." Norman pulled out the guitar book and slapped it onto his desk.
Sammy picked it up and flipped through it. "Norman...instrument books are useless at teaching." Sammy said. "They won't make a lick of sense to any beginner, that's why you'd need an actual teacher to help you learn guitar." Sammy explained.
"Oh, I did not know that." Norman said.
"Every musician has made the mistake of trying to learn from those books, they just don't make sense." Sammy said.
"Well...that's the problem. I can't find a teacher, and if I could, I most likely wouldn't be able to afford it." Norman explained.
Sammy thought for a second. "I know, how about on the weekends you could come over to my house and I could give you lessons?" He suggested.
"Oh, Sammy you don't have to go through all that trouble, I'm sure I could figure something out." Norman said.
"No! It's no trouble at all! I'd actually really like it if I could uh...spend more time with you." Sammy said, shyly glancing to the side.
Norman smiled at this. "Okay then, I guess we could." He replied. Sammy smiled.
So that Saturday, Norman collected his guitar and drove to Sammy's house. He arrived and knocked on the door. His stomach was swarming with butterflies and he didn't know why he felt so nervous, it's was just a guitar lesson.
Sammy answered and smiled when he saw Norman awkwardly standing on his porch. "Hi Norman, ready for your first lesson?" Sammy asked, opening the door wider to let Norman in.
Norman stepped inside and Sammy led him over to a table. The two sat down and Sammy pulled out his own guitar and firstly showed Norman the right way to hold it.
His arm was angled awkwardly and he didn't understand how to point it the way Sammy did with his arm.
The musician stood up and put his own guitar down on the table, and walked over, helping to position Norman's arm the right way.
Any physical contact throughout Sammy's lesson and Norman found himself innerly panicking and his face heat up.
Sammy seemed to be a small bit suspicious about the projectionist's odd and flustered behaviour, but decided not to question it as Norman was often quite odd.
They did this every weekend for a month, and even at work any time they had a spare minute or during lunch break.
They became closer and closer each day that passed, but what stuck mostly with Sammy was how odd Norman was when it came to him being in close contact with him.
Sammy thought he might knew why, but shook the thought from his head. No, that couldn't be it. The musician decided it must've been that he liked his personal space. Understandable.
However, that didn't explain his constant blushing whenever he caught Sammy's eye or came in physical contact with him, and the same conclusion kept popping up in the short blonde's mind. Norman had a crush on him.
He kept denying it from himself but knew it was true. It made him happy, and want to spend more time with Norman. The only reason Sammy took no action was because he was scared. Of what, he didn't know. It should be simple enough, right?
One evening when they were at work during lunch break, Sammy and Norman sat in the projectionist's booth playing the guitar together.
Norman was starting to become good and he enjoyed playing with Sammy, it became one of his most favourite things to do.
Norman got up to put his guitar away when it was about five minutes before band practice would start. He locked it in its case and Sammy leaned his against the wall. The musician stood at the railing, facing inside the booth.
As Norman walked over to stand beside him he tripped on a loose floorboard and caught himself on the railing, trapping poor Sammy in between his outstretched arms.
The two froze, eyes locked and standing with their faces only a couple inches apart. Norman became super flustered and panicked, face burning a dark red.
"I-sorry, I didn't mean to kiss- I-I meant trap you! I lipped- sorry slipped on the board a-and-!" Norman cut himself off, embarrassed so badly from his fall and the words he'd accidentally stuttered out. He was definitely busted from the secret he'd been hiding not so well.
"Oh, for the love of- Norman just kiss me!" Sammy said quickly, hands grasping onto Norman's shoulder.
The projectionist thought he had started hearing things too. "Eh?!" He stared at Sammy in wide eyed and embarrassed confusion.
Sammy took a breath. "Kiss me. You keep mispronouncing words and panicking and I know why, so just do it, kiss me." Sammy said, staring dead into Norman's eyes.
"A-are you sure you want me to?" Norman asked awkwardly, not sure how to take Sammy's demand.
"Yes idiot, why the hell else would I say it. Do it before I change my mind." Sammy warned. His hands were still pressed into Norman's shoulders.
Norman just quickly cupped Sammy's cheeks in his hands and kissed him. After a few moments Sammy pulled away and turned to walk down the stairs. "Band starts in less than a minute by the way." He said, smirking to himself.
Norman wasn't sure what just happened, but nothing could wipe the stupid grin that was on his face for the next week. Yes, even when he was sleeping.

Just thought I'd get as much requests out as I could before doing the Christmas special.
