Jungkook jumped down from the van. He expected to see a lot more than two people. Specifically, two girls. They were standing at a distance for him to clearly see their faces.

He heard the shuffling of footsteps behind him. He turned back to see the men jumping from the van. The girls would not stand a chance against them. They were outnumbered about eight to two.

Jungkook looked over at the girls again. He could see an outline of a pitch black sword resting at the side of the smaller girl. He hadn't seen a sword anywhere near her a few moments back.

"Don't let the sword touch you." Someone hissed. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

"I THINK YOU KNOW." One of them yelled.

"AND ARE YOU REAL HUMANS?" The one with the sword asked, using her sword to gesture behind him. Jungkook bit back his laughter. This wasn't a question which someone would normally ask.

The other girl looked at the former, to which she shrugged and said something.

"I'M GLAD YOU ASKED!" The same man exclaimed with delight. "WHY DON'T WE SHOW YOU."

Then many things happened at once. The men behind him turned into snakes! The smaller girl charged, swinging her sword. While the elder one stayed behind.

She met his eyes. Her eyes were boring into his. Then his legs started moving towards her. He tried to stop himself, but his feet kept dragging forward.

The girl with the sword was slicing snakes. He tried to get a look at her face, a mop of white hair hid it. His mouth fell open. Her hair was placed into a ponytail, swaying as she killed monsters. It was Night.

"Hey Jungkook!" She said cheerfully, as she dogged a snake which went flying past her. "Guess I have some explaining to do? AND ZIA YOU HAVE A SNAKE INCOMING."

"Yes, you do." replied Jungkook.

"IT ALREADY CAME. WHY AREN'T THESE THINGS DYING?" The other girl, Zia, yelled back.

"How am I supposed to know? Jungkook, go to Zia so she can protect you."

"Tell me what's going on!"

"I will. I promise, but later." She said firmly.

"But-" Jungkook started.

"Jungkook, look around you. There is no time to explain. Now, go to Zia." instructed Night.

He looked around him. A snake was slithering away from the fight. The clothes of the people who had kidnapped him were lying on the ground, over which Night tripped and cursed.

"Who leaves these things lying around?" She muttered as she got up, kicking a piece of fabric away.

Zia was standing at a distance, her hands extended as more snakes slithered away from the place. He didn't understand how she was doing it. Then it hit him. It was the powers the Snake-Men were talking about.

Jungkook remembered he had to get to Zia. He broke into a run, trying not to step on the snakes slithering away.

"Hey Jungkook, are you hurt?" Zia asks concerned

"Um, no. I'm not hurt." He mumbles. "But how are you doing it?"

"What? Making the snakes go away? It's my power, I can control minds. And even Night has powers like you."

His mouth fell open. "How did you know I was thinking about that? You can read minds?" He asks in awe.

"Yes, I forgot to mention that."

"Can you read everyone's mind?" Jungkook asked.

"Everyone," said the blonde girl, agreeing. "But Night."
