3. Attack

Midnight Pack

Third Person POV

The Kim and Park siblings met at the cafeteria to share lunch together as it was about time for lunch. Since Jisoo and Ryujin came first, they placed their order for meals and took a seat in the cafeteria near the windows in a corner to avoid drawing any additional unwelcome attention. Jin, Jimin, and Taehyung arrived in the cafeteria in a few minutes. Taehyung appreciated Jin's offer to get the meal for him and sat down right away next to the two girls.

Jimin got a call from his father as the five of them were eating lunch.

"Why is dad calling you?" Ryujin enquired.

Before answering the phone, Jimin said, "I don't know. Excuse me."

"Hey dad, everything okay?" Jimin inquired. His eyes instantly went from brown to yellow as soon as he heard his father's words. Jisoo and Jin noticed it immediately and exchanged glances.

Jimin answered, "Will do." Taehyung turned to face Jimin with concern as soon as he heard the shift in tone in Jimin's voice. Jin immediately asked Jimin what went on after the call.

"Jimin, what happened?"

"Jin, we got attacked."

"WHAT?!" The three almost shouted in fear and shocked while Taehyung.. Taehyung started to have a panic attack but trying his best not to let it win over him.

"Almost haft of our packed died from the sudden attacked. The pack is severely damaged. They destroyed all the houses and our mansion is destroyed as well."

"Where's mom?!" Ryujin exclaimed, bordering on tears.

"She's fine. They are at the underground hideout. And father wants us to be there."

"Tae baby, it's okay," Jisoo comforted her brother, whose body was trembling with anxiety.

Jin pulled both of his siblings into a tight hug and stated, "No one will harm you, Tae. I'm here to protect you, both of you."

The three went through a lot, and it started with a sudden attacked as well. Because he is an omega and was only five years old, Taehyung suffered the most out of the three. What's worse is that he witnessed every step of how they slaughtered and tortured his mother.

"Taehyung, it's okay. Everything will be okay and back to normal but for the mean time, can you do me a favor?" Jimin , Taehyung's bestfriend, asked as he caress his hand.

Jimin said, "Can you please stay strong for us?"

On the other hand, Taehyung is still making every effort to contain his emotions. Eventually, he was able to conquer his anxiety with the support of his brothers and friends.

"We need to go home now, Mr. Bang already knows about the situation" remarked Jimin.

Jisoo enquired, "Is it safe now?"

"Yes. The attacked happened two hours ago, they made sure that it's already safe before we go home."

Jin gave a nod, and the four of them headed to the parking lot, where the cars were already waiting. The Kim siblings got inside the car, but Jin was now seated on the backseat with Jisoo and Taehyung between them, holding their youngest to ensure he felt secure and at ease. The Park siblings, on the other hand, were in a different vehicle.

In silence and concern, they made their way to their pack. The stench of fresh blood filled the air when they were almost inside their pack, despite the fact that there were no dead bodies in sight. Every home was damaged; it was as though they had entered a ghost town.

The scent of blood reached Taehyung's nose, and his body began to tremble all over again. He began to cry silently and breathe heavily. Being sensible, Jin gave his brother a hug, comforted him with tender words, and reassured him that they were safe and that nobody could hurt him.

They eventually arrived at the pack mansion and quickly made their way to the underground hideout. They entered a large chamber where they found several pack members in tears of grief. Thankfully, Jin was there to catch Taehyung just in time as he passed out from the sight. As they head to the room where Alpha and Luna are waiting for them, Jin carries his brother in a bridal style.

When Luna, Mrs. Park, saw Jin holding his unconscious brother, she ran towards them right away.

"What happened to him, son?" Luna asked Jin as she helped him gently place Taehyung on the sofa.

"He had a panic attack mom. He's been trying to hold it but when he saw the situation outside it triggered his anxiety, I guess he felt the pain and grieving" responded Jin.

"Oh my poor baby" Luna said caressing Taehyung's wet cheek

"So what are we going to do now, dad?" Ryujin asked

Jisoo inquired, "Did you happen to know who attacked us"?
"We don't have any idea who did this but we'll sure hunt them."mr. Park, the head alpha, answered

Jimin asked, "So what's the plan?"

"I already talked to the head alpha of Blood Moon pack and they are willing to help us in any way possible."
"Wow you know him? I mean their pack is the strongest and powerful pack. No one dared to start a war with their pack. And their land is so wide that three different packs can leave there." Ryujin said

"And their Luna? Wow! She's so beautiful, don't get me wrong, mom is still my favorite Luna of all. But their Luna? She's so ethereal, she's also a true blood alpha like her husband but she has a beauty of an omega" Ryujin continued

Jimin asked, "Ryu don't you think it's not a good time to gossip?" Ryujin simply rolled her eyes at his sibling.

"So what's your plan, Dad?" Jin inquired

"The head alpha and luna wanted us all to live there for the meantime. Some of their warriors will help fix our territory. We will also figure out who dared to attack us before we go back here."

"How long do we need to stay there?" Taehyung enquired who has been listening to their conversation. As soon as the omega regained consciousness, Mrs. Park scooted Taehyung into her motherly embrace.

"It will take about two months, since our land is severely damaged. And as you know we lost almost half of our pack so we don't want to put anyone in danger, not until we knew who are the attackers."

Everyone gave a nod of agreement.

Mr. Park remarked, "For now, go to your room and take a rest. We will leave tomorrow morning." Shortly after, the five left the meeting room and headed to their individual rooms in the hidden hideout where they began packing.
