34. Intruders

The following day, everyone was still sleeping soundly. Jungkook and Namjoon, the head alpha and luna of the Blood Moon Pack and the Midnight Pack, are meeting behind closed doors in Jong Suk's soundproof office. 
 
"So you're saying you caught 5 rogues who actually trespassed our land?" Namjoon asked. 
 
"Yes. The guts of those rogues," Jungkook responded. 

"Not only that," Jong Suk interrupted.
 
Everyone then looks at the head alpha, anxious for what he is going to say.
 
"Sentinels patrolling each side of our land smelled rogues last night—about 20 or more on each side," Jong Suk stated in a monotone, his palm on his chin.

"What the hell? 20 each side, so possibly 100 or more rogues in one night. Damn boy!" Namjoon said, his eyes widening in shock but absolutely not in fear.

"Hey! Did you block Jin for a while? He's still sleeping. We don't want him to wake up because of whatever you're feeling right now, don't we?" Minyoung said.

"Yeah, I did."

"How about you, son?" Hye Kyo asked.

Jungkook just nodded because he told his mate that he would never block him again, yet here he is again, restricting his omega from his thoughts and emotions, although he's doing it for a good reason.
 
"So what's your plan, dad?"
 
"Tomorrow we will head out to other packs to ask if there are rogues roaming around their boundaries too," Jong Suk remarked as everyone nodded.

"We will be out for at least 3 to 5 days. Jungkook and Namjoon, you will come with me. Namjoon, gather a couple of strongest warriors to come with us, but make sure to leave as many here. Seo Joon, you have to stay here just in case; at least we have another head alpha who can manage the entire pack," Jong Suk said in agreement with Seo Joon.
 
"What about the kids? Should we tell them?" Minyoung inquired.

"No. Let's not frighten them, especially Taehyung. I'll call the university and tell them to give all students a one-week break and just give them homework," Hye Kyo responded, and they just nodded their heads in agreement.

They stayed in the office for a few more minutes to discuss what to tell Taehyung and the others about Namjoon and Jungkook's absence with the head alpha. Everyone was discharged after they had agreed on an excuse for tomorrow's departure.

Jungkook immediately opened his thoughts and emotions for his mate; fortunately, Taehyung and his siblings are still asleep in his chamber.
 
Jungkook walked immediately to his mate's room, wanting to wake up the sleeping beauty and spend the entire day with him because he was sure he would miss his omega while they're away.

"It's locked, bro," Sehun muttered as he saw Jungkook coming directly to Taehyung's room, for which Sehun was already waiting outside, back resting against the wall, waiting for his mate to come out.
 
"Then knock," Jungkook answered.
 
"Why don't you do it?" His cousin said.
 
"You went here first."
 
"Are you scared of Jin as well?" Sehun questioned, chuckling.

"I'm not," Jungkook responded, but the two chuckled since they knew none of them wanted to be on Jin's wrong side. Don't get him wrong; he's a bubbly, kind, and sweet person, but don't make him angry; otherwise, his snarky mouth will slowly murder you with his words.
 
"Are they still sleeping?"
 
Jungkook and Sehun exchange glances, a full smirk spreading across their faces.
 
"Namjoon, why don't you knock and collect your mate?" Jungkook advised, beaming like an idiot.

"Oh no, no, no! I won't do that. I'd rather stay here standing and wait for him to wake up from his beauty rest and be on his good side than knock on that door because I miss him already and wake the sleeping beast inside him," Namjoon replied with a smirk on his face.
 
The three waited outside Taehyung's chamber, resting against the wall, awaiting their mates to wake up for almost an hour.

"Fuck, I can't take it anymore; I already miss my Taehyung, and it's almost lunchtime," Jungkook remarked, walking to the locked door. He fists his hand and prepares to knock when the door unexpectedly opens, revealing the person everyone is scared to offend.
 
"Oh, you three are all here," Jin said, beaming as Taehyung and Jisoo ran behind him, looking directly at their mates. Sehun and Jungkook immediately smiled at the sight of their mates.

"We've been here for an hour, waiting for you to wake up," Namjoon murmured, pulling Jin into a loving hug. Jungkook and Sehun did the same to their mates.
 
"But we were already awake half an hour ago, and we just stayed in bed cuddling," Jin remarked, trying not to chuckle.

As they woke up, the three siblings realized that their mates were already waiting outside Taehyung's chamber due to their fragrance. It was Jisoo's idea to make their friends wait for them.
 
"What the hell! We've been waiting here for an hour already. Give us love and attention, will you?" Sehun shrieked.
 
"Well, ask your mate," Jin responded as the three laughed.

"Let's go to the dining room; everyone is already waiting for us," Namjoon said.
 
The three couples then enter the dining room together.
