Chapter 5 - Class Trial 1

"Let's begun with the simple rules of the class trial!" Monokuma announced, signaling the start of the trial. "Your votes will determine the results. If you can figure out "whodunnit" then only they will receive punishment. But if you pick the wrong person... then I'll punish everyone besides the blackened, and the one that deceived everyone else will graduate! But...you've done this tons of times, so you should already know how this goes. Just find the killer or killers of that no good traitor girl and the other guy!" He spoke as he pointed to Mei's portrait and then Kei's.

"So this is really it. The fifth class trial?" Ryuto asked.

"Yes. Another double victim case..." I replied.

"God, and I thought one was enough! But who knew we'd have another double murder in chapter 5? That was a twist that no one saw coming." Monokuma added while he observed us from his throne.

"There you go referring to this trial as a chapter. What does that even mean?" Reina asked.

"Oh, don't worry about that. It's not important this trial. Just solve the murders!" He reassured us, although it didn't really help our situation.

"Well...where should we start?" Arashi spoke up, seeming a bit out of it. She must miss Mei already.

"The cause of death obviously," Toshiro answered her question.

"Yeah, but the cause of death for the emo kid or the traitor girl?" Mizuki tilted her head, asking another question.

"That traitor first. We have to solve her murder in this trial, not that other asshole's. Most of us didn't even see his body anyway."

"But we should talk about Kei's death. It could relate to Mei's." I suggested.

"You can do that, but it won't matter. He never got a body discovery, so we don't have to find his killer. All we have to do is find the person that murdered Pancakes and then we can all live." Shiro continued.

"What if the same person killed them?" Ryuto bright up a pretty good point. "And...why are you still calling Mei that?"

"Well, it must have been a sloppy kill. They had no reason to target Kei." he shrugged. "I'm not complaining though, it's much quieter without him."

"Let's not talk about him like that after he's dead, but we should still focus on each case," I said. "So, Mei's cause of death..."
