Chapter 2 - Class Trial 3, Closing Argument

"Hm? Are you accusing me of being the culprit?" Hinami asked in her normal calm tone.

"Yes, I am, because all the evidence now points to you!" I replied.

"Wait...didnt we prove Linguini's innocence literally 5 seconds ago?" Mizuki questioned.

"That was when we believed that the shears were taken during the rehearsal today. But since they were actually taken at midnight, her alibi falls flat! She could've done anything during the free slot of time, like poison, and deliver the tea!" I explained.

"A normal cup of tea takes about 2 to 5 minutes of brewing...If she had already prepared the other items beforehand then she had plenty of time to attack me, make the tea, and deliver it, " Toshiro added.

"She even had time to spare since she was only gone for 15 to 20 minutes. But she probably spent that time waiting for Reina like she said she would make sure she had an alibi..." Ryuto commented.

"Is this true? Did you kill Akito, Hinami?" Haru asked.

She stood there in silence before...

"Fufufufufu..."

"Huh?"

She quietly laughed. "You guys are funny...making jokes like this at a class trial,"

"Joking...? You think we're joking?" I inquired.

"Why of course I think that. It's a joke to accuse me of murder with little to no evidence, don't you think?"

"What do you mean no evidence? We've just proven everything!" I exclaimed.

"No, no, no. Not everything. Until everything is clear, I am not the culprit...Fufufu..." She declared, laughing again at the end.

"Since when do you laugh? It's kinda freaking me out!" Mizuki said.

"I only laugh at your attempts to pin me as the blackened. If Kuro really insists that I killed Akito, then she can try and prove it. But until everything is clear, I'm not the culprit, " she repeated.

"Try and prove it?" I responded confused.

"Yes. If I really am the culprit then try and prove it. Maybe I can get another laugh out of your attempts..."

She wants me to prove she is the culprit? Is she challenging me, or giving up? I can't tell...but I know it's her! I guess I should prove it...

One thing that made Hinami suspicious...Im pretty sure that was...
