Chapter 4 - Class Trial 1

"Like always, I'll go ahead and explain the rules of the lovely class trial!" Monokuma announced which signaled the trial's beginning. "Your votes will determine the results. If you can figure out "whodunnit" then only the blackened will receive punishment. But if you pick the wrong one... then I'll punish everyone besides the blackened, and the one that tricked and-"

"Objection!" I yelled as I slammed my hands against the podium.

"What...?" Mei tilted her head.

"The hell? 'Objection'?" Toshiro was already annoyed.

"Hey! That's the wrong game, dumbass!" Monokuma angrily pointed a finger at me. "Another trick like that and you'll be on thin ice!"

"Ha..." I nervously laughed. "Sorry, but I guess all those attorney crime-solving games will finally be useful..."

"Ryuto...This is different from a video game. This is real life." Kuro sighed.

"Why did we have to switch protagonists with this loser?" the bear shook his head.

Crap...everyone is already either confused or disappointed. Way to go.

At least things can't get any worse from now on.

"Well, let's start as usual and discuss the cause of death." Kei surprisingly kicked us off.

Kuro immediately agreed. "Yes. That would be a good place to start, especially since I couldn't be present at the investigation."

"It's not like we got one of those autopsy report things this time," Mizuki added.

"Well...it's not like those autopsies were always reliable in the first place, we're they?" Kei replies in his snarky voice.

Wow, he's still angry at Gin for that...

"Who cares? Just solve this case already and figure out the damn cause of death." Toshiro said.

"Ok, ok. Geez, calm down." Reina rolled her eyes. "You don't have to be an impatient asshole about it." 

"How about for once you two don't start arguing and we just get on with things?" Arashi suggested, interrupting the two. But before they could even answer, she smiled. "Great. Let's get started then!"

Ok. My first debate. No pressure...

The cause of death...that's easy. It was right in the Monokuma File. This should be a piece of cake!

Arashi: What was it?

Mei: I didn't look at the corpse at all...So I wouldn't know...

Mizuki: They had a bunch of wounds. All over them! Maybe that was it?

Kuro: Sure, that's possible. But I don't think so.

Kuro: It's obvious what their fatal injury was.

Toshiro: Yeah, the big-ass would in their stomach-
