Chapter 5 - Class Trial 2

"The mastermind...was an accomplice?" Ryuto repeated, almost in disbelief much like everyone else in the trial room.

"You're kidding, right?" Reina glared at me. "That's impossible. Monokuma can't assist in murder, remember?"

"But that's Monokuma. The mastermind and Monokuma are different people. Those rules might apply to Monokuma but not to the mastermind." I explained. "It also could be why the vandalism the culprit committed was excused. The mastermind allowed them to do it for their murder."

"But what would be their motive? They can't just kill someone for no reason. If that's what they wanted, all of us would've been dead already." Toshiro asked.

"Monokuma did seem mad at Mei for ruining his whole motive. One of the main parts of it was the mystery of who the traitor might be, so for Mei to just reveal it like that might of annoyed them." I replied. "It could also explain why Mei had so many injuries. They wanted her to suffer."

"She did already break their deal, so they must have been real angry already," Ryuto added.

"What a sick fuck." Toshiro mumbled.

"Are you saying the mastermind wanted to kill Mei and Kei then?" Reina said.

"I don't know about Kei yet, but we'll figure his death out soon." I gave the best answer I could think of.

"Wait, wait, wait. Does that mean that the mastermind is the killer? Case solved!" Mizuki exclaimed.

"I'm not sure about that. But I think that for now, the mastermind was just an accomplice-" I was quickly cut off by a sudden yell.

"That's gotta be wrong!"

"What do you mean?" I asked, turning to Arashi.

"I'm sorry Kuro, but...that doesn't sound right. I mean, if they were already mad at Mei, then why didn't they just kill her themself? They have to be the killer!"

Arashi is actually making a valid point. I do have the account Monokuma gave me, however. If I can use his account and present those items used in the case, then all will become clear.
