The boy stood there, shards of glass pierced onto his body. His torso ached with an unimaginable pain while all the was left in his mouth was a sharp, bitter, metallic taste. Arm crossed, his pale hands brushed against each other as he stared down, watching the remaining students.

Akito Akaibara now stood as part of the audience for the Killing Class Exam.

Footsteps echoed against the hard floor. The air progressively got colder every step closer she took. In front of the actor stood the latest arrival to purgatory, his killer: Arisu Dayo. Her skin was bloody and bruised. Her hair as messy and out of place. Her clothes were torn and tattered. But the most noticeable thing was the large deep cut that went the whole way around her neck.

They stood in silence, facing each other. The female's lip quivered. She tried to muster words to speak, but all that came out were soft, scared whimpers.

"I-..."

"I...didn't want to cause any harm by trying to reveal your identity...I just wanted to bring everyone together... With no secrets kept from one another..."

"I-I...Im sorry, Akito..."

"You were brave...telling the others about your true self like that. I just wish I could've been there to help you come to terms with yourself..."

"...There's no point to dwell on the past. That doesn't matter for us anymore. Let's just be hopeful for the guys still alive down there,"

He placed his arm over her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.

They both stared at the academy beneath them, the moon high in the sky.

"Nanako and Okashi are going to be thrilled to see you. They've been looking forward to meeting the real you,"

"How about we go see them now? It's going to take ages for the guys back at the academy to wake up, so let's pass the time by having a bit of fun with the others!" he suggested.
