I slid my handbook against the lock and exited my room, locking the door behind me. I figured that since I hadn't taken a proper look around the Academy's first floor, that I should take a look around. This place was going to be our so-called 'home' for the time being until we escape, so I might as well familiarise myself with it.When I walked down the stairs to the lounge, I saw a green-haired girl sitting on the couch reading a fashion magazine with a girl with blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair on the cover. I slid into the seat next to her. She paid little to no attention to me, just giving me a side-eye most of the time.
I sighed and ripped the magazine out of her hands, closing it shut. She turned to look at me and muttered one word with an annoyed expression.
"What?"
I looked at her confused, "I didn't know you liked reading fashion magazines,"
She crossed her arms. "I didn't know you could be a nosy bitch,"
"Touche" I replied with a smile.
She sighed "Look, what do you want?"
"Just a favor, with you being the Ultimate Designer and all, but could you make me a satchel bag? Carrying my handbook in the waist of my-" I was cut off by Reina quickly responding.
"Gladly! I was getting bored with just sitting on my ass. When do you want it?" Reina said while standing up and facing me.
"O-Oh...Uh, is tomorrow good for you?" I asked. I had never seen Reina like this.
"Tomorrow is good. Expect an amazing bag from the Ultimate Designer herself, Reina Shitateya!" She began walking away. I quickly began to speak before she left entirely.
"Reina, where are you going? Aren't your supplies in your room like everyone else?"
She turned back to face me, "I'm going to my Ultimate lab. Geez, I should start calling you Dumborin from now on," I looked at her confused. Reina annoying sighed, back as her usual self. "An Ultimate lab is where Ultimates like us go and practice our talents. Only 3 are open for now, including mine, but Monokuma said more will open overtime. Get it?"
I nodded and looked over to the model on the magazine cover that Reina was reading...
Junko Enoshima...
"Don't worry about her, she's just so lame model. Whoever trapped us here must be obsessed with her," Reina said as she looked over my shoulder to what I was looking at.
"What do you mean?" I asked as I turned my head to look at her.
"The so-called mastermind who is controlling Monokuma supplied these magazines, and every one has her on the cover and articles about her. Everything else was ripped out," I looked at the model one more time. Her small smile was apparent on her skin that looked like porcelain. Her bright blue eyes struck out like they were popping off the page. She was photoshopped. Definitely. No one could look that perfect.
Glancing at other magazines the pile, Reina was right. Every single one had that model's face on the cover.
Ignoring my sense of uneasiness, I looked back at Reina. "Thanks anyway,"
With that, she made an almost smile and left. After that, I left aswell.
Walking through the outdoor campus, I noticed some people hanging around. Mei was rollerskating along the path, Haru was fixing and tending to the plants and Tama was dribbling a basketball that he probably got from the gym. I waved to all of them with a smile before entering the main entrance to the school.
