Chapter 3 - Class Trial 1

"I'll explain the simple rules of the class trial!" Monokuma began. "Your votes will determine the results. If you can figure out "whodunnit" then only the blackened will receive punishment. But if you pick the wrong one... then I'll punish everyone besides the blackened, and the one that tricked and lied to everyone else will graduate from this academy! Did ya get that?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure we get it," Arashi replied. "I mean, this is the third trial. It would be weird if we didn't know what was going to happen."

"But...do we really have to watch another one of us get executed?" Mei asked. "It's terrible..."

"Of course we do, Pancakes. You know how these trials work. Don't start being a pussy." Toshiro harshly answered her.

"P-Please don't nickname me pancakes!" she cried.

"Well...how about we start discussing the case?" Haru suggested.

"But what do we talk about?" Arashi questioned.

"Hm..." they placed a finger in their chin and began thinking. "The cause of death would be an important part of the case. How about we talk about that?"

"I'm down," Ryuto said.

"Then let's start debating! This is always the fun part!" Mizuki exclaimed as she stood on the podium next to me.

So this is it. The first debate of this trial. I just need to find out the cause of death for each of the victims.

That should be easy right? It's listed right on the Monokuma File. I should use that as some proof...

Haru: What are they?

Mei: What if they have the same one?

Reina: They both have head wounds...

Reina: The cause of death must be those-

"That's impossible Reina." I interrupted her statement.

"Huh? How is it wrong?" she questioned immediately.

"It says Tama's cause of death right on the Monokuma File." I grabbed the file and turned it on. "See...his cause of death was his stab wounds. As for Ichika's...I don't actually know her's."

"I was wrong? Damn...ok then."

"Most of the stuff that comes out of your mouth is wrong anyway, so no surprise here," Toshiro mumbled loudly enough for her to hear his insult.

"Oh, be quiet tall-ass!"

"I'm impressed," Kei spoke. "For once you don't accuse me straight off the bat. Good job."

"I was getting to that!" she pointed at him. "What if that freak did it?"

"Nope, that's also impossible." he bluntly replied.
