"I had the most interesting conversation with Hen and Chimney earlier." Kymber said as she climbed into Bobby's car. He picked her up a few blocks down the road from the station.
"Oh yeah? What was it about?" Bobby asked as he put the car back in drive.
"You and me." Kymber looked over at him.
"Is that so?" Bobby asked as he started to drive down the street, "Do you think they're onto us?"
"Onto us? No. Do they think we are secretly in love with each other but too scared to admit our feelings in worry that we will get in trouble? Yes." Kymber said.
"Love, huh?" Bobby smiled at her, "Do you feel in love?"
"I don't know. It's too soon." Kymber said awkwardly.
"There is no set timeline for relationships, Kymber... Do you feel in love?" Bobby looked at her as he pulled up to a red light.
"I do." Kymber looked over at him.
"I do too." Bobby grabbed her hand as the light turned green.
"Can I tell you something?" Kymber asked.
"You don't have to ask before you talk to me." Bobby laughed, "So yeah, go ahead and tell me."
"I've never told anyone that before... Let alone actually felt it." Kymber looked down at her feet.
"I love you, Kymberly Douglass." Bobby smiled. Kymber looked at him, and she couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.
"I love you, too, Robert Nash." Kymber giggled, but very quickly her mood shifted. She looked down at her feet again.
"Is everything alright? Did you want to wait to say that? I'm sorry if I pushed you to say it before you were ready." Bobby said frantically.
"No, it's not that... I'm just thinking about something else Hen and Chimney said in the ambulance earlier..." Kymber looked out the window.
"You can tell me." Bobby glanced over at her, squeezing tightly onto her hand.
"They said that there is a lot of sexual tension between us... And that they could tell that we just want to get each other into bed." Kymber shyly looked at him.
"Ah. I see... And that makes you anxious, right?" Bobby asked as he pulled the car into a parking space in front of their apartment building.
"It does." Kymber said, unbuckling her seat belt.
"We don't have to do anything that you aren't ready for." Bobby looked into her eyes.
"How will I know if I'm ready or not?" Kymber asked.
"You'll just know. It will feel right." Bobby shrugged, "If you ever want me to stop, just tell me, alright? I promise you won't hurt my feelings."
"Alright." Kymber nodded. Bobby got out of the car and ran around to her side to open the door.
"If you don't want to watch movies tonight like we talked about, I totally understand. Just say the words and I will go back to my own apartment." Bobby said.
"I want you to come watch movies with me." Kymber stood up. The two of them walked towards the door to their building.
"We can at my place since the only TV you have is in your room." Bobby offered.
"No, it's alright." Kymber gave him a half smile.
"You're sure you're alright with me sitting in your bed? I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Bobby asked as he opened the door to the stairwell.
"I'm sure, Bobby." Kymber said as they made their way to the third floor.
"Alright. I just want to make sure." Bobby smiled as Kymber unlocked the door to her apartment. There were still stacks of boxes all over the place. The two of them made their way to the bedroom and set down their things. Kymber climbed onto her bed and sat with her back against the headboard. Bobby sat down at the foot of the bed and looked over his shoulder at her.
"You can sit back here with me." Kymber said quietly.
"Don't have to tell me twice." Bobby laughed as he crawled on all fours up to the other side of the bed. He sat down next to her and she picked up his arm and put it around her as she leaned into his side. He looked down at her and smiled before kissing the top of her head.
"I really am in love with you, Bobby." Kymber looked up at him as she leaned farther down, resting her head on his lap.
"I really am in love with you, too." Bobby smirked as he put his hand on her head and started running his fingers through her hair.
