"Welcome back, Kymber! We've missed you." Hen smiled as Kymber strolled into the firehouse next to Bobby. The past month had flown by with all of the wedding planning and having Misty and Eugene in town helping to take care of the twins.
"I missed you all, too." Kymber said as she ran over and wrapped Hen in a big hug.
"How are the twins doing? Was it hard to leave them?" Eddie asked as he walked over.
"Oh. Of course it was, but I'm also very happy to be back." Kymber smiled.
"Plus, they've got two great babysitters, so there's no need to be worried." Bobby said as he looked down at Kymber, "Right?"
"Right." Kymber smirked.
"Parents still in town?" Chimney asked as he walked out of the locker room.
"Yeah... And well... Actually..." Kymber looked up at Bobby.
"They've decided to move to LA. They're looking for a house." Bobby said as he put his arm around Kymber's shoulder.
"And how do you feel about that, cap?" Buck crossed his arms.
"I mean, now that things are all smoothed out between Eugene and I, I'm feeling pretty good about it." Bobby smiled.
"And you, Kymber?" Hen glanced over at Kymber who didn't look too thrilled.
"Well... I mean, I'm excited to have them here to babysit... But, I did move to LA to get a little bit of distance." Kymber chuckled.
"It's not like you'll be living with them again. It will be fine." Bobby said.
"That is true... I just can't believe that they retired." Kymber looked around.
"I think it will be good for the twins to have their grandparents around. Family is very important." Eddie said, "I love that Christopher has his abuela and tia here in LA."
"Yeah. I guess that's true... I just wish that they could have their cousins close. But that will never happen." Kymber sighed.
"Never say never." Buck said, "Your brother and sister could always move out here."
"I doubt it." Kymber snorted, "They couldn't get out of California fast enough... Thankfully planes exist and we can visit."
"Well, Denny and Nia will be their pseudo cousins." Hen smiled.
"Christopher, too." Eddie said, "Hell, you already told us that we're family."
"See. There you go. The twins have cousins close." Bobby looked at Kymber.
"Hey!" Athena called as she walked into the firehouse with Tommy's arm around her waist.
"Athena! Tommy! What are you two doing here?" Kymber asked as she turned around.
"We had to come congratulate you on being back to work." Tommy shrugged.
"Thanks?" Kymber laughed.
"Well... Actually, we came for other reasons." Athena smiled.
"Yeah?" Hen looked at Athena with a questioning look on her face.
"Yeah." Tommy chuckled as Athena held her hand out. A large diamond ring covered her ring finger.
"Oh my god! Athena, that's so exciting!" Kymber said as she and Hen ran over and have her a hug.
"Isn't it?" Athena's eyes lit up.
"Wow, Tommy. This ring is gorgeous." Hen looked up at him.
"I let her pick it out." Tommy laughed, "You should know that I have no taste."
"That's fair." Chimney said.
"Congratulations, Kinard. I'm happy for you." Bobby smiled as he patted his hand on Tommy's shoulder.
"Thanks, cap... For everything. If it weren't for you guys, we might not have found each other." Tommy said, putting his hands on Athena's shoulders.
"We owe you so much." Athena said.
"No you don't. That's what friends do." Kymber shrugged.
"I never would have thought that Tommy would end up with a cop." Chimney said.
"Why is that?" Athena crossed her arms and turned towards Chimney.
"Uh... No reason, Sergeant Grant." Chimney laughed nervously.
"Nah. There's a reason." Tommy smirked, "I always used to say that cops didn't do much... But I've learned since then, don't worry."
"Oh, have you?" Athena looked over her shoulder at him.
"I have, babe. I promise." Tommy said as he kissed her on the cheek.
"Well... Anyways... When did this happen?" Eddie asked.
"Two days ago. We were up in Big Bear for the weekend." Athena smiled.
"Our one year anniversary." Tommy raised an eyebrow, "Good present, right? Me. Forever."
"Oh... Yeah... Great present." Buck rolled his eyes.
