"So... How was your prom?" Bobby smirked at Kymber as he drove them home from the fire station.

"It was absolutely incredible. Better that I could have ever imagined." Kymber smiled down at the ring on her hand.

"Were you surprised?" Bobby asked, noticing that she was looking at her hand.

"Extremely." Kymber said.

"I'm glad. I was hoping that Hen, Athena, and Maddie wouldn't ruin it for me." Bobby laughed, "But I had to tell them, because I know how much they all mean to you."

"This is true. They mean a lot to me." Kymber looked over at Bobby, "But not as much as you mean to me... Thank you for making tonight so special. It was definitely a night I will never forget."

"That was the whole point." Bobby smiled.

"How long have you been planning this?" Kymber asked.

"Remember the day I asked you to be my date for tonight?" Bobby glanced over at her.

"Yes..." Kymber said.

"About twenty minutes before that." Bobby laughed, "Hen was worried because when I went down to my office to change, I didn't come back out... She came to check on me, and I was just sitting in my office thinking about you."

"Is that so?" Kymber smiled.

"Of course. I think about you all the time... But that day I couldn't stop thinking about you... About us." Bobby said as he pulled into a parking space in front of their apartment building. Kymber couldn't help but smile, except, all of a sudden her expression went blank. "Kymber? Are you alright?"

"Yeah... I was just thinking..." Kymber looked down at her hands.

"About what?" Bobby looked at her.

"I think it's time you meet my parents." Kymber slowly looked up at him, "It's dad's sixtieth birthday next week... Kayla and Kent will be home..."

"I would love to meet your family." Bobby smiled at her.

"Just know, they didn't even know about James... You're the first guy I've told them about, and obviously the first they're meeting." Kymber sighed.

"You've told them about me?" Bobby grinned.

"Of course I have... Actually... Mom knows everything... From the day we first met, I've told her everything... Other than telling her how quickly we slept together, obviously." Kymber laughed.

"Should I feel special?" Bobby smirked.

"You should feel very special, Bobby Nash." Kymber giggled.

"Do your brother and sister know about me?" Bobby asked.

"I haven't talked to them much since moving here... And when I have it's only been about my nieces and nephews." Kymber said.

"You have nieces and nephews?" Bobby looked at her.

"Yeah... I haven't met them though... They were all so little when Kyle died that they didn't want to go through the trouble of bringing them, since it was already hard with Kyle being gone. So just Kayla and Kent came. Their families stayed home." Kymber shrugged, "But I get to meet them next week. They figured, even though Kayla has a six month old, being here for their grandpa was important."

"I agree... But I feel like the funeral should have been important too." Bobby said.

"I felt the same way... But they were never really that close to Kyle and I since they are eight and ten years younger. That's why I still haven't met their kids." Kymber said.

"Are you excited to see them again? Or are you more nervous?" Bobby asked.

"Both. I'm excited to meet their kids since I probably will never be able to have any of my own... It'll be good to have kids in the family." Kymber looked down again.

"Why are you saying you'll never have kids?" Bobby gently turned her face towards him.

"Well, I'm not getting any younger... And thirty-five is definitely pushing it." Kymber sighed.

"Why is it pushing it? There have been women in their fifties having kids... If your siblings are that much younger than you, that means your mom had them in her thirties." Bobby said.

"Yeah... I guess you're right... But I guess here's my question, do you want to have kids again?" Kymber looked into his eyes.

"Until I met you, I never even thought I'd be getting married again... I do want to have kids again. And I promise, this time I won't be on drugs or drunk all the time." Bobby said.

"I know, Bobby. Don't worry. I know." Kymber said quietly as she leaned in to kiss him.
