Chapter 20 - Already

"Bobby was your first?" Athena's eyes got wide, "Damn girl. He's definitely a good choice for that."

"Athena you're married." Karen laughed.

"Yeah, well we will see how long that lasts..." Athena sighed as she leaned back and took a big gulp of her wine.

"What do you mean?" Hen looked over.

"Michael... He told me last week that he is gay." Athena said.

"Oh my god, really?" Kymber asked.

"Really." Athena said, unamused.

"I'm sorry, Athena." Karen said.

"It is alright... I mean, I always thought maybe, but I didn't want to be true... I love him... But he's lied to me for so long." Athena sighed, "Anyway, back to Kymber. We can talk about this when she is done."

"Oh... Alright..." Kymber said, awkwardly, "I guess that just brings us to the day that we woke up late... Well, after everything that happened last night, Bobby and I both fell asleep before turning our alarms on... He got woken up by the forty something call that he got. Then he couldn't find his pants, so he had to walk back to his apartment in my robe."

"Oh I would have paid to see that." Hen laughed.

"We got to work and little miss snoopy over here went and tricked Bobby into telling her. We've been making her keep the secret for the past week... We finally made the call today after the guys noticed that Bobby and I got new keys..." Kymber held up the key ring with her and Bobby's apartment keys.

"Y'all gave each other keys already? Damn girl." Athena smirked.

"Ok, but what happened in between a week ago and now." Karen asked.

"Well..." Kymber blushed.

"Has he even slept in his apartment?" Hen laughed.

"...no..." Kymber looked up.

"And he's your first real relationship?" Karen looked at her.

"I guess, technically, yes." Kymber smiled.

"That is insane. Very cool though. We were all married by the time we were in our thirties, so we don't necessarily know what it's like... But you seem to be doing very well with the whole dating thing." Karen laughed.

"I'll probably be in your shoes in a few months. Maybe you'll have to find me a friend of Bobby's." Athena smirked.

"So back to that whole thing. Athena, your husband is gay?" Kymber asked.

"Oh yeah... And he told the kids yesterday. That went over terribly." Athena sighed.

"Has he talked about getting a divorce?" Hen asked.

"Not yet... But, as much as I want to make it work, I want to be with someone who actually loves me. Like really loves me, not just as a friend like Michael does." Athena said.

"That is totally understandable." Karen said.

"Is it wrong to start dating around before we sign the divorce papers? I'm allowed to, right?" Athena asked, waving her glass around.

"I would say so... I mean, yeah you are technically married, but do you really have a marriage?" Kymber asked.

"Not really... Especially not the one that I thought I did." Athena leaned back.

"I'm sorry Athena." Hen said.

"It's alright. The truth was going to come out sooner or later." Athena shrugged, "I guess it just happened to be sooner."

"That is crazy." Karen shook her head.

"Twenty years and you think you know someone." Athena said.

Buzz! Buzz!

Kymber looked down at her phone and smiled. "What is it?" Karen looked over.

"Please don't tell me it's dick pics." Hen laughed.

"I swear it's not." Kymber's eyes got wide as she looked at Hen.

"I am just messing with you, Kymber. I know it's not... It is Bobby though, right?" Hen asked.

"It is." Kymber blushed.

Bobby: How's it going?

Kymber: Really well. I am having a lot of fun.

Bobby: Good. I miss you already.

Kymber: I miss you, too.

Bobby: What are you girls talking about?

Kymber: You.

Bobby: Me? What about me?

Kymber: Us.

Bobby: Ahh, that makes more sense.

Kymber: Hen asked if you were sending me dick pics.

Bobby: OMG I would never.

Kymber: Oh, we know. She was just messing.

Bobby: Oh. Good. Have fun.

Kymber: See you soon.

"Does he miss you already?" Hen laughed.

"Maybe." Kymber smirked.

"You guys act like you've known each other for years already." Karen said.

"I know. It's really great." Kymber blushed.

"Damn, if only you hadn't snapped him up. I might have taken a chance on him after Michael and I sign these divorce papers." Athena laughed.

"Sorry, you're too late." Kymber smiled.
