Chapter 40 - Kid

"Well would you look who it is! It's Kymby!" Buck chuckled as Bobby and Kymber walked into the station the next morning.

"What?" Bobby laughed as they walked into the locker room.

"Kymber and Bobby. Kymby. It's your ship name." Buck said.

"Ship name? I thought that was just something you made up when you watch TV." Bobby looked at Kymber.

"You thought I made it up?" Kymber looked back at him.

"Yeah. You're always talking about Savis this and Savis that." Bobby said, "I didn't realize other people do it too."

"Savis?" Eddie looked at her.

"Sonny and Davis from SEAL Team." Kymber shrugged.

"So why do we get a ship name?" Bobby asked.

"Because you're in a relationship so we ship you." Hen smirked.

"Uh huh..." Bobby nodded, still not quite understanding.

"Haven't you heard us call them Buddie?" Kymber gestured to Buck and Eddie.

"Wait, you guys call us Buddie?" Buck asked.

"We do." Chimney laughed.

"That's better than what I came up with." Eddie chuckled.

"What did you come up with?" Kymber looked at him.

"I came up with Edduck..." Eddie said.

"Edduck? Oh my god, that's their new ship name." Hen laughed so she wheezed.

"Oh goodness..." Eddie sighed.

"Alright alright." Bobby chuckled.

"Last night was definitely great." Kymber smirked.

"Oh, really? Why is that?" Hen asked jokingly.

"Oh, I don't know. Can you help me hold my hand up though?" Kymber laughed as Hen grabbed her hand.

"This really is a beautiful ring, Bobby." Hen said.

"I tried... I went to like twelve different stores." Bobby chuckled.

"Oh man, I hope I don't have to do that much." Chimney said.

"Wait... For what?" Buck looked at him.

"I mean... Obviously not anytime soon... Just at some point in the future?" Chimney looked over at Buck.

"You wanna marry my sister? Like... Be my brother-in-law?" Buck asked.

"Like I said... At some point, hopefully... I really do love your sister, Buck." Chimney said as he stood up.

"Just please don't hurt her." Buck said.

"Why would I?" Chimney asked.

"I don't know... But if you do, just know that I'll be on her side." Buck crossed his arms.

"Anyways..." Kymber said, trying to change the subject, "Guess who Bobby gets to meet next week."

"Who?" Eddie asked.

"I said guess!" Kymber laughed.

"The president." Chimney joked.

"Your evil twin." Buck smiled.

"Not funny..." Kymber sighed and looked at the ground.

"Oh shit. I forgot you actually had a twin." Buck looked at her, "I'm so sorry."

"It's... It's alright..." Kymber looked up.

"I'm going to meet her parents and her brother and sister." Bobby wrapped his arm around her side.

"That's great. Always a good step." Hen smiled.

"Are you nervous?" Chimney asked.

"I'm a grown man, Chim. No, I'm not nervous to be meeting my fiancée's parents." Bobby scoffed.

"I'm an adult, and meeting Karen's parents was scary." Hen shrugged.

"I agree, cap. It can be very intimidating meeting the parents." Eddie said.

"Especially since you're the first guy I'll ever introduce them to..." Kymber looked up at Bobby.

"Ooooh... Even worse. You better be ready to get grilled there, cap." Buck laughed.

"I'm fine. I've gone through it before, I can do it again." Bobby sighed, this time a little nervous.

"They're going to love you, Bobby. Because you love me." Kymber said.

"Can I just hang out with the kids? I'm good with kids." Bobby laughed nervously while he wiped a bead of sweat off of his forehead.

"What kids?" Hen asked.

"My nieces and nephews... There's five of them." Kymber said.

"Awe. Kids are great. Bobby is great with kids. You should see him with Christopher." Eddie smiled.

"Yeah?" Kymber looked over at Eddie.

"Oh yeah. Bobby loved Christopher, don't you cap?" Eddie asked.

"I do. He's a great kid... I can't wait to have another." Bobby smiled down at Kymber.

"Wait? You guys are going to try to have a kid?" Chimney asked.

"We are." Kymber grinned.

"You're sure you're alright with that, cap?" Hen asked.

"I am. Like I told Kymber, before I met her, I never even thought I'd get married again. Things change when you meet the right people... And Kymber has made me want to be a father again." Bobby smirked.
