"Hi! You must be Kymberly!" Karen said as Hen and Kymber walked in the front door to their house.

"And you must be Karen." Kymber smiled.

"That I am... I've heard a lot about you. What's this whole situation you've got going on with Captain Nash?" Karen smiled.

"Ooo. Is there something going on between you and Captain Nash?" Athena asked, leaning forward eagerly. Kymber blushed.

"Things have changed since I last told you about it." Hen smirked.

"Oh really? What happened?" Karen asked.

"You told her?" Kymber looked at Hen.

"I couldn't tell anyone at work, I had to tell someone." Hen shrugged.

"I want to know what happened!" Athena smiled.

"Well..." Kymber let out a nervous laugh, "He called the fire chief today... Told him that we are seeing each other."

"Wow! You work fast. Good for you. Bobby is a good man." Athena said.

"They're letting Bobby be her captain still?" Karen asked, confused.

"Nope." Hen looked at her.

"Then how are they allowed to date?" Athena looked over.

"Because you're looking at the new paramedic captain, and co-captain of the 118." Hen smiled from ear to ear.

"Oh my god! Hen that is wonderful!" Karen said excitedly.

"Congratulations, captain." Athena smiled, "I'm sorry, not that this isn't exciting, but I want to hear more about Kymberly and Bobby." She tucked her feet underneath herself as she grabbed the bottle of wine and poured another glass.

"Yes! I want to know how it all happened." Karen sat forward.

"Oh... Well..." Kymber said.

"Take a seat, I'll grab you a glass of wine. Red or white?" Hen asked, walking into the kitchen.

"White, please." Kymber smiled, she looked around and took a deep breath, "So Bobby and I, huh?"

"Please." Karen said, "I've only been hearing Hen's side of things."

"I haven't heard anything." Athena laughed.

"Alright... Well, as you know, I just started last week... I met Bobby the day before I started. Kind of awkwardly, too... I was bringing groceries to my apartment when I tripped over a rug in the middle of the hallway, food went flying, I fell to the floor. It was a mess, and of course Bobby was there to watch the entire thing. He helped me pick up all of my groceries and bring them into my apartment. We ended up going out for drinks and talked for a few hours." Kymber laughed as Hen brought her a glass of wine, "Thanks."

"Wait, that's how you met?" Hen looked at her, "That's the reason he was practically fawning over you before you came in on your first day?"

"I guess so." Kymber shrugged.

"Keep going! I have to know!" Karen said.

"Well, the next day came around and I awkwardly discovered that Bobby, the man I had been thinking about the entire night before, was my new boss. Talk about awkward. That was just a really weird day, he got me my drink when we went to the bar... And then the next day is when things really got started. We both left our apartments at the same time, I actually tried to avoid talking to him, but he wouldn't let me ignore him. That's when he told me he liked me... He kissed me in front of the stairwell." Kymber smiled like an idiot, thinking about that moment.

"Wait, you mean the day before you came in late wasn't the first day that he kissed you?" Hen asked in shock.

"Nope." Kymber smirked, "And man was that a hard secret to keep. I wanted to scream it to the world... Anyways, that night he took me to Santa Monica after work to make sure that we didn't run into anyone from the station. While we were there, he told me about the fire that took his wife and kids, and the we both talked about our pasts. We actually sat there for almost two hours just talking before we even did anything on the pier."

"He told you about the fire already? It took him three years before he told me about that." Hen said.

"There was a fire?" Athena asked.

"Yeah, back when he lived in Minnesota the apartment building he lived in caught on fire and killed his wife and two kids." Kymber said.

"Well now his whole demeanor makes sense." Athena sat back.

"Continue." Karen looked at her. Kymber laughed before she continued.

"The day after is when Chimney and your wife over here were asking me a million questions about my crush on Bobby. They also told me they could tell that Bobby and I were in 'puppy love' and about the sexual tension that I didn't even realize we had... Which was a little uncomfortable because..." Kymber stopped and looked at Hen embarrassed.

"You can tell them, they won't make fun of you." Hen said.

"It was uncomfortable because I had never even had sex..." Kymber looked down, "But anyways, Bobby picked me up a few blocks down from the station and drove me home. I told him about it, and he was all worried about me being freaked about the whole sex thing. He almost didn't want to come back to my apartment with me to watch movies like we had talked about. But I convinced him too, and well..."
