"Hey, I'm really not feeling like cooking tonight... Is anyone opposed to ordering out?" Bobby asked.
"Can we get Chipotle?" Chimney looked up.
"That's fine." Bobby laughed, "Is everyone else alright with that?"
"I'm fine with it." Kymber smiled.
"Anyone else have an opinion?" Bobby asked, but no one said anything, "I will take that as a no... Kymber, if I call in the order can you go pick it up?"
"Yeah, sure. I need your car keys." Kymber said.
"Here." Bobby said as he tossed her the keys.
"Be back soon." Kymber smiled as she walked down the stairs.
"Alright, we've got about twenty minutes to get set up. Think we can do it?" Bobby looked around.
"Of course... Now you go downstairs and get changed." Hen said.
"Ok." Bobby said, starting to get nervous.
"Cap, calm down. You're just asking her to a ball that you already know she's going to, and she's already planning on being your date for." Buck said from upstairs.
"I know... But like Hen said last week, I want it to be special for her. I want her to remember it forever." Bobby smiled.
"Go get changed." Hen smirked. Bobby nodded and headed down the stairs.
"What's taking him so long?" Buck looked down at his watch a few minutes later.
"I'm not sure... I'll go check on him. You guys start lighting the candles." Hen said as she ran down to Bobby's office.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in." Bobby called from behind the door.
"Are you doing alright, cap?" Hen asked as she opened the door. He was sitting down at his desk.
"Yeah... I'm fine. I'm just thinking." Bobby leaned back.
"Thinking about what?" Hen smirked.
"Kymber and I... This whole thing has got me really thinking about our future." Bobby looked at her.
"More so than before?" Hen asked, and Bobby nodded.
"Yeah..." Bobby looked down as his face started to turn red.
"Are you thinking about proposing soon?" Hen asked.
"She should be back any minute." Bobby said, trying to change the subject as he stood up from his desk.
"Cap." Hen said.
"We will talk about this another time, Hen. She's going to be back with the food any second." Bobby walked over to the door.
"I can't believe she actually bought it that you didn't want to cook tonight." Hen laughed.
"Honestly, me too... But she should be back with the food any time now." Bobby said, walking out of his office.
"Is everything ready?" Hen followed him.
"It looks like it." Bobby said as he looked around.
"She's here!" Chimney ran to the railing, "I just saw her out the window."
"Alright. Everyone get ready!" Bobby said as he ran to the locker room. Hen ran over to the light switches and turned off all the lights.
"Hello?... Where is everyone?" Kymber asked as she walked around the firetrucks, "Oh my goodness... What is this?" Kymber walked farther into the station, towards the candles in the center of the room.
"Hey, Kymber." Bobby said, walking out of the locker room holding a bouquet of roses.
"Bobby, what is going on?" Kymber smiled as she set the bag of food on the floor.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Bobby smirked.
"Oh, you don't? Alright." Kymber laughed, "Really, what's going on?"
"I love you, Kymber." Bobby looked at her.
"I love you, too, Bobby." Kymber walked up to him.
"I know that things haven't always gone the way you wanted them to in your life... And I know there are things that you wanted to do that you never got the chance. I get that I can't turn back time and make all of those things right for you, but I can at least try to give you some of those experiences. Kymberly Amelia Douglass, would you accompany me to the prom?" Bobby smiled.
"It's not prom." Kymber chuckled.
"I know... But it's the closest thing to a prom that I can give you." Bobby said, "So will you?"
"Of course I will." Kymber smiled as she gave him a hug.
"Do I get to see your dress now?" Bobby smirked.
"I sent it to Hen's house because I knew you would peak. You have to wait until the day of the ball." Kymber laughed.
"Fine. Then you don't get to see me in my Class A uniform." Bobby jokingly stuck his tongue out.
"It's not like I've never seen one before." Kymber rolled her eyes.
"I know, but your haven't seen me in one." Bobby smirked before kissing her.
