"What happened?" Kymber asked as she slowly sat up.
"You passed out after you heard we are having twins." Bobby said, putting his hand behind her back.
"That wasn't a dream?" Kymber looked up at him.
"It wasn't." Bobby said, "But that's ok. We can do this. I believe in us."
"I was worried about having just one baby... But now two? I don't know..." Kymber sighed.
"Kymber, we've seen you interact with Christopher, Denny, and Nia. You will be fine." Eddie said, standing back by the door of the office.
"But it's different... I'm not their mom." Kymber looked at him.
"No, you're not. But I still think that you can do this." Eddie smiled.
"You really can. We all know it." Buck said.
"Oh my goodness. The party! Everyone saw me pass out, didn't they?" Kymber turned back to Bobby with panic in her eyes.
"Yes, but it's ok. No one thinks any differently of you. I promise." Bobby placed his hand on her leg.
"Are you sure?" Kymber looked down.
"I am one hundred percent sure." Bobby crouched down into her line of vision, "You ready to go see everyone?"
"I guess so." Kymber said quietly as she carefully got off of Bobby's desk.
"Alright. Let's go." Bobby said as the four of them made their way out of the office. Everyone upstairs cheered.
"See! You're surrounded by people who love you no matter what." Buck nudged her arm.
"Ok fine. You're right." Kymber chuckled as they made their way upstairs.
"How are you feeling?" Athena asked.
"A little stressed, but I'll be ok." Kymber let out a half smile.
"We can talk later, alright?" Athena smiled as she placed her hand on Kymber's shoulder.
"Twins! Nia and I both get a friend!" Denny came running over.
"Yes! You both get a friend!" Kymber said excitedly.
"I think you should name the boy Denny so he can be just like me." Denny pointed to himself.
"We will put that on the list." Bobby laughed as he rubbed his hand in Denny's hair.
"Congratulations, cap." Hen walked over and stood next to him as Kymber walked over to her parents.
"Thanks, Hen." Bobby smiled.
"Are you excited to be starting over?" Hen looked at him.
"Only because it's with her." Bobby looked down at the floor and chuckled, "I wouldn't do it for anyone else."
"I'm really glad she came here. She's made everything a lot better." Hen said.
"That's for sure... And to think, we were all hesitant about getting a new paramedic." Bobby smirked.
"If only we knew." Hen laughed.
"If only." Bobby leaned against the railing and crossed his arms as a smile spread across his face, "Remember the day she first got here?"
"Cap, I can never forget that day." Hen chuckled, "You were both so caught off guard to see each other. It was pretty funny to be completely honest with you."
"Oh, I don't doubt it. I probably would've thought the same thing if it happened to someone else." Bobby shrugged, "Can you believe this all started because Kymber dropped her groceries in the hallway?"
"It's like one of those cheesy romcoms." Hen rolled her eyes.
"Hey! We aren't cheesy!" Bobby looked at her.
"Oh really? Because I beg to differ." Hen smirked.
"Alright, alright... Maybe a little cheesy." Bobby sighed.
"I really am happy for you, cap." Hen said.
"Thanks. We appreciate it." Bobby said.
"No. Not both of you. I mean... I am happy for both of you, but I just meant you." Hen explained.
"Why is that?" Bobby looked at her.
"Because you've opened up and become so much happier since she's been around. In all the years we've worked together, I've never seen you this happy." Hen smiled.
"I was happy before." Bobby countered.
"Not this happy though... I know you still miss Marcy and the kids, but it's not all you focus on anymore. You have Kymber to turn your focus to. Like I said, I know you still miss them, it's just good to see you focus on something else." Hen said.
"I guess you're right. I do miss them with all of my heart, though... The pain has just been healed a little by having Kymber here with me." Bobby said.
"I know, cap." Hen smiled at him.
