"Did you see Alys and James this morning?" Roxanne whispered to Amalie with a smirk as they all checked they had all their things before leaving the cottage.

"If you're asking me if I saw Alya asleep resting her head on James' chest, then yes, I saw" Amalie replied with a smile

"It's so funny if you think about it" Daria snickered butting in her conversation

"Hey" Alya smiled coming down the stairs with her things in hand, "what're we whispering about"

The three girls exchanged amused glances.

"Nothing you need to know about Darling Alya" Roxanne smiled walking off

"Strange" Alya muttered to herself shrugging as she met with the rest of them at the front door

The groups all said their quick goodbyes as they would be rejoicing a few days later on the Hogwarts express.

"I'll aparate you back home" James said as everyone disappeared leaving him and Alya as Alya had only turned 17 and didn't know how to apparte.

She nodded in thanks placing a hand on his shoulder before being pulled into a whirling vortex.

The pair landed outside the Hills flat with Alyas things by her side.

"Thank you James" Alya rushed giving him a quick hug before pulling open the door, "see you on the train!" She waved stepping in and closing the door behind her

"...yeah" James drifted of dreamily, smiling to himself as he watched Alya's figure disappear as the door closed. As soon as the lock clicked he did a little victory wiggle before composing himself and telling himself to be cool before strutting off down the hallway.

"Alys!" Suzanna smiled standing up from the sofa with her cup of tea, "how are you? How was it?" She asked hugging her daughter

"I'm good" she replied, "we had lots of fun"

"Oh good" Suzanna smiled pulling away, "there's a cuppa for you on the counter, I made it for you just in time, it's still hot. Oh! I almost forgot, there's a letter for you somewhere over there as well. Something to do with Hogwarts" she waved sipping her tea

"Ok! Thanks mum!" She called walking into the kitchen.

Picking up her mug of tea she teared open the envelope. Scanning over the letter it told her the usual things that was on her normal Hogwarts letters; books, time times and so on. She choked a little on her tea as she read the bottom of the parchment.

I am writing to you with much pleasure to inform you that you have revived the honour of being Hogwarts Head Girl. Upon your arrival at the Hogwarts Express please meet in the prefects carriage for a quick introduction and briefing.
Please see above your list of required books for the year,

"You good Alys?" Suzanna asked sidling over as Alya coughed from her tea, peering over her shoulder and reading the letter, "oh my! That's brilliant news! I'm so proud of you! We've got to celebrate!"

Meanwhile, at the Potters residence Viola kissed James head while Harry messed his hair

"How was your trip?" Viola asked

"Yeah it was good thanks" James nodded in response

"Go and and take you things up stairs" Viola said handing him his bags

"Before you go!" Harry called, "there's been a letter for you. It's on the mantle piece if you want to go and  get it"

James nodded as Harry and Viola looked at each other in amusement, knowing exactly what was inside that letter.

James tore open the paper disinterestedly before his eyes widened.

"I'm head boy... what the fuck?" He started turning over the badge in his hands

"Well done James" Harry smiled slapping a hand on his shoulders

"Yes we're really proud" She smiled pulling him into a side hug, "I've no idea how you've managed it but you have" she laughed, "have you put Minerva under the imperius curse? It's okay you can tell me I won't tell your dad" she whispered quietly

"Not that I'm aware of" James shrugged
