"You both need to chill out" Nico said as he flicked through his quidditch magazine, lazed about on the Gryffindor sofa one evening.
"Yeah" Frank agreed, "you're going to tire yourself out Alys" he said looking to all the papers and books surrounding Alya as she rested against James with a frown pulled on her face
"It's fine! I'm nearly done" she said scribbling down some notes.
"And you James" Frank continued looking at his friend who was pouring over Quidditch tactics and plays
"But it's important" James waved off as he let out a big yawn, "Hufflepuffs team is strong and we need to win this match to win the Quidditch cup. It's our last chance and I've got to make it count. Gryffindor might never win again!" James said, frantically sorting through papers
Frank only sighed, "fine, but don't let it wear you out too much"
"Yeah, you don't want to be shattered before the match. You could cost us" Nico piped up
"Of fuck off" James rolled his eyes, "you've always needed me"
"Ever so modest" Alya chuckled, about to lean over and kiss his cheek
She paused midway, realising what she was about to do, catching herself
"Urm... eyelash" she said pretending to wipe away a lash on James' cheek, "got it" she smiled sheepishly as Frank raised an eyebrow and Nico smirked.
"Right anyway" Nico continued, "Hufflepuff stand no chance James. We've got it" he nodded confidently
"Cocky shits" Frank chuckled shaking his head.
"Hey Alys! Bye!" Lily called as she rushed by them, quickly running past the four of them and towards the portrait
"Hey Lils? Where're you going?" Nico asked taking in her outfit, "especially after hours?"
"Yeah?" James asked interestedly
"You're not my brother" Lily rolled her eyes, "stop trying to be over protective and shit, it's not working. And even if you were" she continued sending James a pointed look, "it'd be none of your business"
"I think it is my business" James narrowed his eyes
"Sorry?" Lily asked as if she didn't hear him, backing away from the group and slowly walking towards the portrait door, "could you repeat that? I didn't quite catch you first time?"
"I said! It is my business!" James repeated a little more loudly this time
"Sorry? I can't hear you, my hearings going in my old age, could you repeat that James?"
"I said—" James yelled

The portrait door had slammed shut suddenly as Lily Rosa slid through it.
"For fuck sake" Nico rolled his eyes while James nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile Frank and Alya just shot each other the same amused looks.
"Hey! Where're you going?" James asked grabbing Alya's wrist as she collected up her books and went to stand up.
"I'm shattered. I'm heading up to bed. See you in the morning Nic, Frank" she nodded before shooting James a smile.
Walking down the corridor after hours she spotted a head of blond hair, "Lil! Hey! Wait!"
Lily Rosa twirled around, perfect as ever, a beaming white, charming smile curving onto her face.
"Oh hey Alys" she replied happily, setting into Alya's pace
"What happened back there?"
"Oh you know, just James and Nico pretending that they Control me" she waved off with a scoff, "Nicos not even my fucking brother for sake"
"I guess he sees you as a little sister I guess?" Alya shrugged
Lily only rolled her eyes, "well he needs to stop it. The boy might be so stupidly fit but he's a massive dick head"
"Lily, he's a seventh year!" Alya exclaimed before bursting into a loud laugh
"So? He's still good looking" Lily countered
"You know what... you're right" Alya laughed in agreement, "don't tell James" she nudged her playfully
"Your secrets safe with me" Lily winked
"Hey, were are you going?" Alya questioned, genuinely interested
"I'm meeting up from a Hufflepuff boy in the year above" Lily shrugged as if it was nothing
Alya's eyes widened
"Oh god" she laughed at Alya's expression, "nothing like that... well... no in joking" she smirked
"James is gonna kill you if he finds out" Alya said
"That's why're you're just going to have to distract him with your beautiful face and charming personality" Lily grinned, giving Alya a friendly nudge before carrying on down the hallways.
Alya watched her leave, a look of disbelief on her face. She couldn't help but chuckle to herself.
