James and Alya entered their new dorm. Being head boy and girl meant that they had separate sleeping quarters to the rest of their houses.

Alya walked around inspecting the place. It had a small living room with a comfy sofa, Infront of it a roaring fireplace and mantle piece with every head boy and girl names carved into it. A worn rug laid on the floor infront of the fire, tattered and loved while its edges frayed.

There was a small kitchenette, decked out with a sink, a few cupboards filled with plates, bowls and mugs and draws filled with cutlery and pans. A small fridge stood in the corner along with an oven on the opposite side of the room.

The living room/kitchen branched off through two doors, each a bedroom.

"Dibs on this room!" James called from the room to the right

Alya walked in looking around, "that's unfair" she sighed

"We could always share" James raised an eyebrow smirking at her

"You know what, I think I'll take the other room happily" Alya smiled back sarcastically making James laugh.

"Ouch"

"You had it coming"

Alya entered her room and looked around. It had a small window looking out onto the Hogwarts grounds and the lake. A small but cosy bed stood in the corner and a set of draws and a wardrobe stood opposite.

It was small but quite charming

James sat on the sofas back while Alya perched on the kitchen counter

"I think we need rules" She said swinging her legs and sipping some tea she made

"Rules?" James asked, "like what?"

"We'll take it in turns to do the washing up and things" Alya suggested, "I could make a rotor?"

"We don't need a rotor" James waved off, "it's just easiest if we clean them when we've finished them and put them away"

"Wow, er yeah. That's sensible" Alya nodded

"And I was thinking, since there's only one bathroom and shower you could go in the morning when I have Quidditch training and I go afterwards? If that's okay with you?"

"Yeah, that works" Alya nodded, slightly surprised that James had thought this through so much

"Okay great" James smiled, "speaking of Quidditch ive got to host tryouts right now. Sorry to leave you here alone"

"No it's okay. I was planning on visiting your mu- I mean Professor Potter to ask about extra credit for transfiguration. I want to make sure I get a good grade for Newts"

"Good, now I don't feel guilty about leaving you alone" James smiled, "see you later love!" He called walking out of the portrait hole

"Yeah... bye" Alya called after him, slightly in shock and impressed of how maturely James was handling it all.

Reaching the Transfiguration office Alya noticed that the door was open and she could see Viola inside. She knocked a few times but Viola didn't hear over her conversation. Alya knew that she wouldn't care if she let herself in she entered.

Viola sat at her desk, her feet up talking into the fireplace.

"Can't you come home and we can make another baby?" A voice said from the fireplace

"No Harry. We're not having any more children"

"Why not? They're so cute"

"Do you want to push a whole human out of your vagina?"

"Uh"

"Didn't think so"

Alya had to stifle her laugh. She cleared her throat letting her presence known.

"Oh hi Alya!" Viola smiled turning around and taking her feet off her desk, "Potter I've got to go, we'll speak later, I've got important Professor things. So how are you? I've not seen you in a while"

"Things are good thanks" Alya replied

"How's the dorm? I hope James isn't being too insufferable"

"He's actually being very mature" Alya hummed as Viola raised her eyebrows

"Really? Wow. That's a change"

Alya laughed shaking her head, "Professor I was just wondering if there is anything I could do for extra credit this term as Newts are coming up and I'd like to secure the best grade possible"

"You don't have to call me Professor when we're not in lesson" Viola waved, "it makes me feel a little queasy for some reason. Since you're basically family Alya you already have extra credit. Don't tell McGon I said that" she grinned, "all you have to do is carry on doing what you're doing. McGonagalls told me all about your abilities and I'm confident you'll do well. I can always find you some harder work if you'd like?"

"Oh please, that'd be really helpful" Alya nodded

"I'll get that sorted for you then. Say hello to James for me and tell him to pop down for a bit"

"I will do, enjoy the rest of your day Profess- Viola"

"You too Alya"

Professor Potter sounds so weird like-

So In SA I completely forgot that head boy and girl get their own dorms. But I think it kinda makes sense that vi stayed with Parvati and lavender in seventh year.
