289 AC, Winterfell
Alyssa's joy over seeing her children again was beyond any words. The moment she rode into the courtyard of Winterfell where her family stood, awaiting her arrival Bash, Ashton and Edmund ran forward and she just had time to dismount and crouch down to catch them.
"Oh, how I've missed you," Alyssa hugged them, kissing their cheeks in greeting. Meanwhile Ned was busy greeting his own family and Alyssa could see Jon stand awkwardly a bit away so she motioned for him to come over.
Jon looked reluctant but eventually walked towards Alyssa who brought him into a hug and kissed his cheek just like she had done with the rest of her children, "How you've all grown," she grinned at them.
Then they were joined by Robb who also ran over to greet his aunt with a hug, "I missed you, Aunt Alys."
"I missed you too, little wolf," she chuckled at her only nephews enthusiasm at seeing her again.
"Where is Papa?" Ashton asked, looking a little disappointed that Jaime was not there which caused Alyssa to give him a sad smile.
"Your father had to stay at the Rock with Uncle Tyrion and your grandfather," Alyssa told her son, "But he wanted me to tell you that he loves and miss you greatly and that you will see each other again soon."
"I wish to leave for Winterfell as soon as possible," Alyssa said to her husband as they prepared themselves for bed their first night back at the Rock.
Jaime's head snapped up, "We just came home. We can send for the children to the brought here-"
"No, it's better if I go there," Alyssa said firmly, "Ned will leave shortly-"
"Have you thought about the fact that I also with to see my children again?" Jaime asked, "It's hard for me every time you leave and take them with you."
"You can always come with me," Alyssa said, "But you do not wish to because you don't want to live in Winterfell and I am not forcing you. But the arrangement I made with your father-"
"Exactly. You and my father made an arrangement. I did not have a say in it," Jaime snapped, his eyes narrowing at her.
"I gave you plenty of room to speak up but you chose not to," Alyssa pointed out, "Not mention that you always have the choice to come with me. It's not like you are bound to never leave Casterly Rock."
