276 AC, Sunspear

Lord Edgar Yronwood' death had shocked all of Dorne and the tension was thick. Apparently the wound he had received during the duel had festered and killed him in the middle of the night, no one saw it coming.

It was normal for wounds to be fatal if they weren't treated properly, yet the Maester claimed that he had done everything right and that there was another reason for Yronwood's death. Therefor everyone's minds turned to one thing.

Poison.

Oberyn was known to have an interest in poison, which lead to many thinking that he had fought with a poisoned blade. Alyssa didn't want to believe in the rumours and when she had asked Oberyn had sworn that his blade was clean and she believed him.

But no matter how many times Oberyn had denied using poison the new Lord of Yronwood, Lord Ormond, didn't believe him. The atmosphere in Sunspear had been thick as the Princess Loreza negotiated with House Yronwood to smooth things over. Those loyal to the deceased lord wanted the prince to be punished for his alleged crimes. But those loyal to House Martell claimed that their prince was innocent and that Lord Edgar should have known the consequences when he demanded a duel.

After many days of discussion they had come to an agreement. Oberyn had to leave Dorne, it was a temporary exile, yet no one called it that. He would be allowed to return in a few years when all had been forgotten but now he was to be sent to Oldtown, more specifically the Citadel.

"If you frown any deeper your head will be stuck like that forever " a familiar voice said behind her. Alyssa turned around to see Oberyn standing behind her dressed in a bright yellow tunic, black breeches and high boots. Her eyes quickly found that he was carrying two long boxes in his arms.

"If you weren't such a fool I wouldn't have to frown" Alyssa countered, her arms crossed over her chest. "Aren't you supposed to be packing?"

"How could I spend the day packing when you are leaving us today?" Oberyn walked over to her bed, placing down the boxes beside him.

Her chamber was mostly empty by now, all her things had already been packed into boxes. It felt empty, reminding her of how it felt when she left Winterfell.

"Here I thought you would be happy to get rid off me" Alyssa teased him, a playful smirk on her face. Oberyn had rubbed of on her more than she liked to admit, she was more confident than ever and had, if possible, become even more stubborn.
